Lenovo has unveiled its latest budget range Andorid tablet – the Lenovo Tab Plus. Lenovo squeezed not one or two, but a whopping eight speakers into its new tablet, which makes it a powerful Bluetooth speaker. Lenovo’s new tablet aims to deliver an immersive sound experience with eight JBL-tuned speakers and a HiFi matrix structure tuned by Dolby Atmos.
There are four matrix tweeters and four force-balanced woofers, delivering 26W of stereo sound with deeper, more pronounced bass and clearer treble. You can also use the Lenovo Tab Plus speakers with other devices like smartphones or game consoles via Bluetooth.
Lenovo also integrated a built-in kickstand into the tablet, that elevates up to 175 degrees, offering great viewing flexibility while binge-watching shows.
Under the hood, Lenovo Tab Plus is powered by a MediaTek Helio G99 Octa-core processor paired with 8GB of RAM and up to 256GB of storage which is further expandable via microSD card. The tablet comes with Android 14 out of the box. Lenovo promises two major upgrades (up to Android 16) and four years of security patches for the Tab Plus.
For cameras, it features an 8MP front and rear camera which I think is decent for video calls. It’s obvious to see compromises in other areas since the tablet is designed as a media consumption device.
The Tab Plus has a stunning 11.5-inch 2K LCD display with 90Hz refresh rate support, ensuring a smooth scrolling experience. It boasts a massive 8,600mAh battery with 45W fast charging support, which fully charges the tablet in just 90 minutes, which is impressive. Lenovo claims that the device is capable of streaming for up to 12 hours on a single charge. Additionally, Lenovo incorporated an IP52 rating into the tablet which means it can easily handle normal water splashes and spills.
Despite the solid speaker system, the Lenovo Tab Plus retails at just $289.99 and is now available for purchase in global markets.
