Motorola has introduced its latest generation of foldable smartphones in the market – the Razr 2024 and Razr Plus 2024. Motorola’s latest foldable brings significant improvements over the last generation’s foldable. The Chicago-based company Motorola packed an array of impressive features, new colors, larger cover screens, and integration of Moto AI and Google Gemini.
All-new Razr Plus 2024
The Razr Plus 2024 high-end variant in the latest foldable family boasts a stunning 4-inch pOLED cover screen which Motorola claims that it is the biggest cover screen of any clamshell foldable smartphone on the market. When unfolded, you’ll get a beautiful 6.9-inch FHD+ display with a whopping 165Hz refresh rate and massive 3000 nits of peak brightness. Interestingly, both panels have 165Hz refresh rate support, which is impressive. It ships with Corning Gorilla Victus protection.

You can run almost any app on the smartphone’s cover screen from games to social apps flawlessly. Motorola redesigned several cover screen panels such as weather, stocks, and calendars. You can also access the Google’s Gemini directly from the cover screen.
Motorola brings some impressive camera upgrades to the Razr Plus 2024. It features a 50MP main camera and a 50MP telephoto lens with 2x optical zoom support. Under the hood, the Razr Plus 2024 is powered by Qualcomm’s newly announced Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 processor which is a slightly weaker version of the original Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset, but you can still expect a flagship tier performance. It packs a 12GB of RAM and 256GB of onboard storage.


The battery on the Razr Plus 2024 is boosted from 3,700mAh to 4,000mAh, and it supports 45W fast wired charging. Motorola is quite known for its eye-catching back panels, and this time too the company brings some new refreshing vegan leather finishes for the Razr Plus 2024. It comes in Midnight Blue, Peach Fuzz, and Hot Pink vegan leather finishes.
Razr 2024: New affordable foldable phone
The Razr 2024 standard variant comes with some notable minor upgrades, making it a solid mid-range foldable phone available in the market. The biggest upgrade comes to its cover screen which is now up from 1.5-inch to straight 3.6-inch. The 3.6-inch pOLED cover screen is capable of running all apps flawlessly with a whopping 120Hz refresh rate, making the scrolling experience extra smoother. The inner 6.9-inch FHD+ pOLED display with 165Hz refresh rate support offers a stunning visual experience.

Motorola also packed Moto AI and Google’s Gemini in the Razr 2024. The foldable features a MediaTek Dimensity 7300X chipset coupled with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage. It boasts a massive 4,200mAh battery with 30W wired and 15W wireless fast charging support.
The Razr 2024 has a 50MP primary camera paired with a 13MP ultrawide lens and a 32MP shooter on the front for capturing selfies and video chats. All in all, the Motorola Razr 2024 is a refreshed version of last year’s Razr Plus 2023 with minor specs differences.
Both smartphones run on the latest Andorid 14 OS out of the box. Motorola promised three major OS updates (up to Android 17) and four years of security patches for both devices, which is great. But, it is still behind Samsung’s 4+5 years update policy.
Motorola also offers great color options for the standard Razr 2024 variant. It comes in Spritz Orange, Beach Sand, and Koala Grey vegan leather finishes.
Motorola Razr Plus 2024 and Razr 2024: Pricing and Availability
Motorola bringing both models to the US. The Razr Plus 2024 and Razr 2024 foldable phones will be available to pre-order from July 10th, with open sales beginning from July 24.
The Razr Plus 2024 starts at $999, while the Razr 2024 is available at $699.
