Motorola has introduced the moto watch 2 fit, also called the moto watch fit 27 in some markets, with a larger focus on workout analysis and recovery. The new fitness-focused smartwatch combines health insights powered by Polar, dual-frequency GPS, a bright OLED display and a claimed battery life of up to 12 days.
It’s aimed at people who want more context from their daily activity without necessarily moving to a full-featured Wear OS smartwatch. Runners can track changes in aerobic fitness, while everyone else gets tools for monitoring sleep, stress and daily movement.
Polar Adds More Context to Fitness Tracking
Motorola’s new watch brings several Polar-powered features to the Fit line for the first time. Running Index estimates aerobic fitness and running efficiency from recorded heart-rate data, while Daily Activity Goal and Daily Activity Score help wearers understand whether they’re moving enough throughout the day.
Active Intensity Zones break down activity into light, moderate and vigorous effort. Energy Sources estimates how the body draws on different fuel sources during exercise. These are useful indicators for tracking trends, though they’re not substitutes for laboratory testing or medical advice.
Recovery tools include Polar’s Nightly Recharge, which combines sleep measurements with autonomic nervous system data, and Sleep Plus Stages, which estimates light, deep and REM sleep. Serene offers guided breathing exercises with feedback. Motorola also includes heart-rate and blood-oxygen monitoring, stress insights, menstrual-cycle tracking and automatic detection for more than 100 workouts.

Up to 12 Days Between Charges
Motorola claims the moto watch 2 fit can last up to 12 days per charge under light-use conditions. As usual, workout tracking, GPS sessions, screen settings and notifications will affect real-world endurance. Dual-frequency GPS is included for more accurate outdoor route tracking in challenging environments.
The watch carries IP68 dust and water protection alongside a 5ATM water-resistance rating. That makes it suitable for everyday exposure to rain and some pool workouts, within Motorola’s stated limits, but it is not waterproof in every situation.
A Bright Display and Bluetooth Calling
A 1.85-inch gOLED screen is rated for up to 1,500 nits of peak brightness and has approximately 2mm bezels. Gorilla Glass 3 protects the display, while an aluminum frame and silicone strap round out the design. Motorola lists three Pantone strap color options: Stratified Sea, Pigeon and Ballerina.
Bluetooth calling lets wearers handle calls from the wrist when connected to a compatible phone. Motorola also plans to add hands-free Motorola Qira access in the coming months, provided the watch is paired with a compatible Motorola smartphone. That feature is not available at launch.
Motorola’s lineup already includes the more capable moto watch ultra, which AndroidGuys previously reviewed, as well as the moto watch. The new Fit model takes a different approach, placing longer battery life and everyday fitness metrics at the center of the experience.
U.S. Pricing and Availability
Motorola says the moto watch 2 fit/moto watch fit 27 will roll out in select markets across North America, Europe, Latin America, the Middle East and Asia-Pacific in the coming weeks. The company has announced a starting European price of €119, but has not confirmed U.S. pricing or a specific U.S. release date. That euro price should not be treated as an American MSRP.
More details are available in Motorola’s official announcement. U.S. buyers should watch for local pricing and availability before comparing the new model with other fitness watches.
