T-Mobile is bringing Bryan Cranston, a rooster and a rather aggressive wake-up call to its latest wireless campaign. The actor stars in a new 60-second commercial promoting T-Mix, a set of phone plans that lets customers choose certain included benefits instead of accepting a fixed bundle.
The ad is scheduled to debut during Thursday Night Football on November 5 before appearing across broadcast TV, streaming, movie theaters and digital channels. Behind the comedy is a more practical pitch: T-Mobile wants customers to have a say in which streaming, travel, gaming and other perks come with their wireless service.
Bryan Cranston Gives Wireless Customers a Wake-Up Call
In the new spot, Cranston turns up in bedrooms, hotel lobbies, an airplane and an office to wake people who have been going through the motions with their phone bills. A rooster joins the effort, just in case the message isn’t loud enough.
The campaign was developed by T-Mobile’s lead creative agency, Highdive. Nick Ball directed the commercial, with cinematography from Hoyte van Hoytema, whose work includes Oppenheimer. T-Mobile is also preparing Spanish-language campaign content featuring creator Lele Pons.
The point isn’t that a celebrity can magically lower a wireless bill. T-Mobile is using the ad to introduce a different way to choose plan extras, although the cost and value will still depend on what each customer actually uses.
How T-Mix Plans and Picks Work
T-Mix includes three plan tiers: Standard, More and Loaded. Each comes with T-Mobile’s core wireless service and member benefits, along with a certain number of customizable extras called Picks. The available options span services such as Netflix, Hulu, Apple Music, Apple TV, YouTube Premium, Xbox Game Pass, Google Gemini, Delta miles and DoorDash DashPass, plus certain connectivity features and device promotions.

Eligible selections can be changed every 90 days, giving customers a way to adjust their extras without necessarily switching their underlying plan. The number of Picks depends on the tier and lines on the account; changes can affect existing promotions, so it’s worth reading the terms before swapping benefits.
For a single line with AutoPay, T-Mobile lists these starting prices:
- T-Mix Standard: $55 per month, with one Pick
- T-Mix More: $75 per month, with two Picks
- T-Mix Loaded: $95 per month, with three Picks
Taxes and fees are extra. T-Mobile says the plans will be available in November, with additional options for eligible students, adults 55 and older, military members, veterans and first responders. Individual benefits and promotional terms may vary.
More Choice, but Compare the Full Bill

Customizable perks could be appealing to households that rotate between streaming subscriptions or want benefits suited to different family members. But the meaningful comparison is still the complete monthly bill, including taxes, number of lines, and any device payments or promotional credits.
AndroidGuys has previously covered T-Mobile’s student offers and the carrier’s Flex 36 phone financing, two examples of how service plans and device costs can interact. T-Mix adds another set of choices to consider rather than removing the need to compare terms.
More information about Cranston’s campaign is available in T-Mobile’s official announcement, while the carrier’s T-Mix overview explains the plans and available Picks.
