T-Mobile has introduced Student Perks, a new set of wireless plan discounts aimed at eligible college and graduate students who want their own account without paying typical single-line pricing.
The plans start at $30 per month with AutoPay, plus taxes and fees, and include three tiers based on T-Mobile’s existing Essentials Saver and Experience plans. T-Mobile says the entry-level option represents a 40% savings on a single line compared with comparable AT&T and Verizon plans.
The launch arrives alongside a broader group of back-to-school offers covering smartphones, tablets, watches, home internet, and accessories.
Three Student Perks Plans To Choose From
Students can select from three Student Perks options:
- Essentials Saver with Student Perks Savings: $30 per month for one line or $60 for two lines with AutoPay
- Experience More with Student Perks Savings: $65 per month for one line or $110 for two lines with AutoPay
- Experience Beyond with Student Perks Savings: $80 per month for one line or $130 for two lines with AutoPay
Benefits vary by plan, with select options including Netflix, Hulu, and MLB.TV on Us, plus Apple TV for $3 per month. T-Mobile lists high-speed international data, T-Satellite connectivity, and weekly T-Mobile Tuesdays offers among the available extras.
Select Student Perks plans include a five-year price guarantee, giving students some protection against plan-rate increases during what can be a fairly expensive stretch of life already.
Students Can Bundle 5G Home Internet
Eligible students who pair a Student Perks wireless plan with T-Mobile 5G Home Internet can get home internet for $30 per month.
T-Mobile says that rate is $5 less than its standard bundle offer. The promotion includes same-day gateway delivery through DoorDash in supported areas and up to $200 back through a virtual prepaid card for back-to-school purchases.
That could make the bundle particularly relevant for students living off campus who need both wireless service and home connectivity without juggling separate providers.
Free Phones, Watches, and Tablets Are Part of the Back-to-School Push
T-Mobile’s current device promotions include a free Samsung Galaxy S26+, or up to $1,100 off another Galaxy S26 model, when customers meet the required line or trade-in conditions on an eligible Experience plan.
A free iPhone 17 is available with an eligible trade-in and new line on Experience More. T-Mobile is offering the REVVL 8 Pro free with a new line on most plans, too.
Wearable and tablet deals include a free Samsung Galaxy Watch9, free Apple Watch SE3, free Samsung Galaxy Tab A11+, and an iPad with A16 for $99. Each promotion carries its own qualifying service requirements.
Families shopping for younger students can get 50% off the SyncUP KIDS Watch 2 with a watch line, along with a free REVVL Tab 2 when adding qualifying tablet service.
Metro By T-Mobile Has Its Own School-Year Deals
Metro by T-Mobile is running a separate group of prepaid promotions, including a free Samsung Galaxy A37 5G on its $40 PERIOD plan and a free iPhone 16e for customers who bring an eligible number to a qualifying plan.
Metro is offering an unlimited 5G phone plan for $25 per month with AutoPay for qualifying bring-your-own-device customers. Its 5G Home Internet service is available for $45 per month with AutoPay when paired with a new voice line.
Students interested in the new wireless plans can find full details on the T-Mobile Student Perks page, with additional device promotions listed through T-Mobile’s back-to-school offers.
