Anker Soundcore Space 2 Pro: High-End Features at $200

Anker Soundcore Space 2 Pro DEALS

The wireless headphone market is crowded with premium options that cost upwards of four hundred dollars. Anker aims to disrupt that space with the Anker Soundcore Space 2 Pro, priced at two hundred dollars. By packing advanced features like the Thus AI chipset, top tier call noise cancellation, and adaptive active noise cancellation into an affordable package, Anker creates a compelling option for consumers wanting high end functionality without the steep price tag.

Design

The Anker Soundcore Space 2 Pro adopts a clean and understated aesthetic that moves away from flashy branding. Anker omitted the traditional Soundcore logo from the earcups, opting instead for minimal reflective lettering along the outer rim. The headphones come in classic color choices, including Black, Linen White, and Midnight Grey. Build quality feels solid with tight seams and sturdy plastics that feel durable in daily hand use.

Comfort is a major strength for this headset during long listening sessions. The large earcups feature soft protein leather wrapping plush slow rebound memory foam that was designed using data from over two thousand head profiles.

Weighing approximately 262 grams, the lightweight frame distributes weight evenly across the padded headband without creating clamping pressure. The ear pads can also pop out easily if you ever need to install replacements down the road.

For storage, the earcups rotate on a vertical axis and fold in one direction to compact down into a ball. Rather than a protective hardshell travel case, Anker supplies a soft cloth drawstring pouch in the box. The headphones do not feature an IP water resistance rating, so caution is advised near water or during intense workout sessions. Additionally, the plush ear pads can trap heat and run warm during extended wear in warmer environments.

Setup

Getting connected is smooth and versatile across multiple platforms. The Space 2 Pro features Bluetooth 6.1 with support for SBC, AAC, and high resolution LDAC audio codecs. Google Fast Pair simplifies Android setup, while dual device multipoint pairing keeps your phone and laptop connected at the same time.

A standard 3.5mm audio jack and included cable allow for wired listening alongside USB C charging.

Physical controls are positioned conveniently along the earcup rims. You get tactile physical buttons for volume, play pause, power, and noise cancellation modes. These physical buttons prevent accidental touch inputs while adjusting the headset on your head. An internal wear detection sensor automatically pauses media playback when you take the headphones off and resumes playback when placed back on your head.

The companion Soundcore app expands customization and sound tuning options. Users can take the HearID 5.0 hearing test to generate a custom frequency curve tailored to their personal hearing. An eight band graphic equalizer allows manual sound adjustments across different frequencies. Bonus app features include 3D spatial audio, white noise nap mode, and real time language translation capabilities in over one hundred languages.

Performance

Call quality is the standout headline feature on the Space 2 Pro. Anker built the headset around its proprietary Thus AI chip and an eight microphone array, utilizing six dedicated voice enhancement mics to filter out ambient noise.

Drawing from technology that earned the Liberty 5 Pro a Guinness World Record for call clarity, the Space 2 Pro isolates your voice with impressive precision. Real world call tests show remarkable background suppression against office chatter, street traffic, windy conditions, and crying children.

Active noise cancellation performance punches well above its price class. Adaptive ANC 3.0 processes environmental noise to reduce ambient loudness by over 88 percent. It effectively silences office noise, air conditioning hums, and low frequency commuting sounds.

Ambient transparency mode allows clear face to face conversations without removing the headset, though a faint background hiss can be heard when audio is paused.

Audio reproduction is driven by 35mm dual material drivers tuned with an energetic V shaped sound profile. The low end delivers deep, punchy bass that brings weight and impact to modern pop, hip hop, movies, and gaming content.

Midrange vocals come through crisp and easy to follow, while sparkling highs provide detailed imaging and a spacious soundstage. Listeners who prefer a flatter response can refine the sound signature using the eight band equalizer inside the app.

By pairing world-class AI call clarity with adaptive noise cancellation and plush memory foam comfort, the Anker Soundcore Space 2 Pro bridges the gap between mid-range pricing and true flagship performance

Battery Life

Endurance is built for long working days and extended travel. Anker rates the Space 2 Pro for up to 60 hours of playback with active noise cancellation turned off and up to 30 hours with noise cancellation enabled. In real world heavy usage testing with active noise cancellation and high bitrate LDAC streaming, the headset logged over 26 hours of continuous playback.

Charging efficiency is fast and practical for busy schedules. A brief five minute charge over USB C provides up to eight hours of listening time. This fast charging capability ensures you can quickly power up before a flight or work shift even if you forgot to charge overnight. Overall, I’ve found the charging and the battery life to be well within Anker’s claims.
