XTU S7 Pro Max Action Camera: 4K Video and 50MP Photos

XTU, also known as XTUCAM, has introduced the S7 Pro Max, a new action camera designed for outdoor enthusiasts, content creators, and users who need high-resolution video in a compact form. The camera combines 4K recording at up to 50 frames per second, 50-megapixel photography, electronic image stabilization, and an HDR-capable sensor.

Priced at $179.99, the XTU S7 Pro Max features a 1/1.28-inch RYYB sensor, a wide-angle lens with a 158-degree field of view, and an AI night vision mode. It also supports up to 14 stops of dynamic range in X-Log mode, giving creators greater flexibility when capturing scenes with a broad range of light and shadow.

The camera is available through XTU’s official website, with a listing on the company’s Amazon store expected soon.

XTU S7 Pro Max Records 4K Video at Up to 50 FPS

The XTU S7 Pro Max supports 4K video recording at up to 50 frames per second, allowing users to capture detailed footage of outdoor activities, sports, travel, and other fast-moving scenes.

For users who do not need 4K resolution, the camera can record 2.7K video at up to 50fps and 1080p footage at up to 60fps. These alternatives provide flexibility for different recording requirements, including projects where file sizes and editing performance matter.

The camera also includes a pre-recording feature that can capture up to 50 seconds before the user presses the record button, according to the product information. This function is intended to help users preserve unexpected moments that might otherwise occur before recording begins.

Another feature is automatic rotation detection. The camera can recognize its orientation and switch between landscape and portrait recording, which could be useful for creators producing content for both traditional video platforms and vertical social media feeds.

1/1.28-Inch RYYB Sensor Supports HDR and Night Recording

The S7 Pro Max uses a 1/1.28-inch RYYB sensor and supports HDR video capture. Its sensor and AI night vision capabilities are designed to help users record scenes in challenging lighting conditions.

The camera’s 158-degree wide-angle lens captures a broad field of view, making it suitable for activities where users want to include more of the surrounding environment in the frame.

For creators who want additional control over image processing, the camera offers X-Log mode with up to 14 stops of dynamic range. This feature is intended to preserve more information across bright highlights and darker areas, potentially giving users more flexibility during color grading and post-production.

Actual image quality will depend on lighting, recording settings, and the user’s editing workflow. The advertised dynamic range is a manufacturer-reported specification and does not, by itself, establish how the camera will perform in every scene.

50MP Photos and 6K Time-Lapse Recording

Beyond video, the XTU S7 Pro Max can capture still photographs at resolutions of up to 50 megapixels.

The high-resolution photo mode gives users the option to take detailed images without carrying a separate camera for basic photography. The device also supports 6K time-lapse recording, allowing users to create accelerated footage of subjects such as changing landscapes, traffic, and outdoor activities.

Together, the photo and time-lapse features broaden the camera’s appeal beyond action video, particularly for travelers and social media creators who want several types of content from one compact device.

Super Stabilization 5.0 EIS Helps Reduce Camera Shake

Action cameras are often used in situations where movement can make footage difficult to watch. To address this, XTU has equipped the S7 Pro Max with Super Stabilization 5.0 electronic image stabilization.

The system includes 360-degree horizon correction, designed to help keep footage level even when the camera rotates during use.

This could be useful for cycling, hiking, and other activities where the camera may move or tilt unexpectedly. Electronic stabilization can crop or otherwise process footage to compensate for movement, so the final result may vary depending on the recording mode and conditions.

The combination of electronic stabilization and automatic orientation detection is intended to make the camera more adaptable to different shooting styles.

Dual Displays and Voice Controls

The XTU S7 Pro Max features two built-in displays: a 1.4-inch screen on the front and a 2.29-inch touchscreen on the rear.

The front display can help users frame shots when recording themselves, while the larger rear touchscreen provides a way to compose scenes, adjust settings, and review captured photos and videos.

Users can control the camera through its touchscreen or voice commands. Voice control can be convenient when the device is mounted on a bicycle or positioned somewhere that makes direct access difficult.

These controls give the camera a more flexible operating experience for solo creators and people recording activities while moving.

Battery Offers Up to 200 Minutes of Recording

The S7 Pro Max contains a 1,800mAh battery. According to XTU, it can provide up to 200 minutes of recording when capturing 1080p video at 30fps.

The camera also supports faster recharging, with the company reporting that the battery can reach 80 percent capacity in approximately 46 minutes.

Actual recording time will depend on factors such as resolution, frame rate, stabilization, wireless features, temperature, and display use. Recording at higher resolutions or frame rates may produce different battery results from the advertised 1080p test conditions.

Magnetic Mount and Expandable Storage

For mounting flexibility, the S7 Pro Max uses a magnetic quick-release system that allows users to attach the camera to bicycles and other compatible objects. Additional mounting accessories are available separately, according to the product information.

Video and photo files can be saved to a microSD card with a capacity of up to 512GB. This provides room for extended recording sessions, although available recording time will depend on the selected resolution, frame rate, and file settings.

The camera measures 70.4 × 44.45 × 28.98 millimeters and weighs 138 grams, making it compact enough for portable use and a range of mounting arrangements.

XTU S7 Pro Max Price and Availability

XTU has priced the S7 Pro Max at $179.99. The action camera is available through the company’s official website, while availability through XTU’s Amazon store is expected soon.

At this price, the camera combines several features aimed at users who want high-resolution action footage, including 4K recording at up to 50fps, 50MP photography, 14-stop dynamic range in X-Log mode, electronic stabilization, and dual displays.

For more information or to purchase the camera, visit the official XTU website.
