LG unveiled the mid-range Optimus Pro and Optimus Net, both running Android 2.3 Gingerbread and targeted at first-time smartphone buyers. The two devices were expected to launch across 30 European markets that summer, with pricing and carrier details to follow.
The Optimus Pro was LG’s first portrait bar QWERTY Android phone. It featured a 2.8-inch display (240×320), an 800MHz processor, 512MB ROM, 256MB RAM, a 3-megapixel camera, Wi-Fi, aGPS, FM radio, Bluetooth, and a 1500mAh battery. Available in white, black, and titan.
The Optimus Net specs varied by market but generally featured a 3.2-inch HVGA display (320×480), an 800MHz processor, 512MB ROM, 512MB RAM, a 3-megapixel camera, a 1500mAh battery, FM radio, and LG Social+ for unified social networking on the home screen. Regional variants offered NFC (some European markets), a QWERTY keyboard (US), or dual SIM support (Brazil, China, Asia, CIS). Available in black or white.
