Moto Returns to Wear OS with Moto Watch Ultra

Motorola just shook up IFA 2026 in Berlin by unveiling the highly anticipated Moto Watch Ultra. This sleek new smartwatch is a massive win for everyday tech fans looking for a high-end wearable, and it marks a major milestone for the Motorola brand.

Fitness by Polar

For consumers, this watch is packed with features designed to make daily life seamless. It is the first-ever Moto Watch to feature LTE connectivity, allowing you to make calls and send texts without carrying your phone. Outdoor enthusiasts will love the dual-band GPS and Google Wallet support for quick, phone-free coffee stops. Thanks to a partnership with fitness pioneer Polar, the watch brings science-backed algorithms right to your wrist.

You can easily track sleep quality with Sleep Plus Stages or destress using Serene breathing exercises. It is also built to last, featuring a bright 1.5-inch OLED display, Corning Gorilla Glass 3, and strong 5ATM water protection. On top of that, you get up to two days of active battery life.

Powered by Wear OS

For the brand, the Moto Watch Ultra is a strategic powerhouse. It expands Motorola’s connected ecosystem in North America while introducing their most intelligent wearable yet. It is the very first Motorola wearable with built-in Motorola Qira, an AI assistant that naturally shares memory across compatible Motorola and Lenovo devices. By pairing Wear OS by Google with the powerful Snapdragon W5+ Gen 1 platform, Motorola delivers a fast, highly capable user experience.

This puts the internals, a few generations behind the likes of Google and Samsung. We’ll have to take this new watch for a full spin, but this is something I want to see how it performs after loading weeks of data and apps. The Moto Watch Ultra comes with a premium 46mm stainless-steel body and offers several stylish color options depending on the type of 22mm band you choose:

  • Breathable Silicone Band: Available in PANTONE Black Beauty or PANTONE Mountain View.
  • Genuine Leather Band: Available in PANTONE Black Beauty or PANTONE Nuthatch.

Since the watch is compatible with third-party 22mm bands, users can also easily swap them out to customize their look even further.

The Moto Watch Ultra officially launches on Motorola.com on September 10 for $349.99. It will arrive at Verizon on September 24, with other major carriers following in the coming months.
