Acer Googlebook 14 Arrives With Gemini Intelligence, 3K OLED Display, and Android Continuity

Acer has announced the Googlebook 14, the first convertible laptop built around Google’s new Googlebook OS and Gemini Intelligence platform. The 14-inch machine pairs Intel Core Ultra Series 3 hardware with a 360-degree design, OLED touchscreen, Android phone integration, and a starting price of $899 in North America.

The Googlebook 14 sits in a new premium laptop category created by Google, with Acer positioning its first model for productivity, creative work, and everyday computing. Googlebook OS supports touch, keyboard, stylus, voice, and standard laptop controls, with Gemini woven throughout the operating system rather than treated as a separate app.

Gemini Intelligence Connects the Laptop and Android Phone

Acer’s Googlebook 14 leans heavily into continuity between a phone and PC. Continue On can pick up tasks that began on a compatible Android phone, and Cast My Apps brings Android apps onto the laptop without requiring them to be installed locally. These features require supported devices running Android 17 or later.

Gemini Intelligence can provide context-aware actions and suggestions based on what’s currently on the screen. Another feature, Magic Pointer, can be activated with a cursor gesture and works with Gemini to inspect and act on visual information.

Googlebook buyers receive 12 months of Google AI Pro, including expanded access to Gemini, Flow, Gemini Notebook, Gemini features inside Google apps, and 5TB of cloud storage. The offer is available in select countries and carries a stated value of $239.88, with normal subscription billing beginning after the promotional period if it isn’t canceled.

Premium Hardware With a 3K OLED Touchscreen

The Googlebook 14 weighs 2.51 pounds and measures 0.55 inches thick, using an aluminum-magnesium chassis finished in Elemental Blue. Its 360-degree hinge supports laptop, tent, stand, and tablet configurations.

Front and center is a 14-inch 2880 x 1800 OLED touchscreen with a 16:10 aspect ratio, 500-nit brightness, 100% DCI-P3 coverage, Gorilla Glass, and support for USI 2.0 styluses. The stylus is sold separately. Acer adds a backlit keyboard, Gorilla Glass touchpad, fingerprint reader, physical webcam privacy shutter, and its Comfort Touch treatment on portions of the chassis.

A Glowbar built into the lid changes its colors and patterns to indicate battery and charging status. It’s a small detail, but one that should make the Googlebook considerably harder to confuse with the sea of gray laptops roaming office conference rooms.

Intel Core Ultra Series 3 and Up to 16 Hours of Battery Life

Configurations include Intel Core Ultra 5 325 and Core Ultra 7 355 processors, with the latter featuring an NPU rated at up to 50 TOPS. Buyers can configure the system with up to 32GB of LPDDR5X memory and a 512GB PCIe Gen 4 NVMe SSD.

The 71Wh battery is rated for up to 16 hours of web browsing or 14 hours of local video playback. Fast charging can reach 50% in 30 minutes or 80% in an hour. Connectivity includes Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 6.0, Thunderbolt 4, two USB-C 3.2 Gen 2 ports, and a 3.5mm audio jack.

Pricing and Availability

The Acer Googlebook 14 GP714-91N is scheduled to reach North America in October 2026 starting at $899. EMEA pricing starts at €1,199 with October availability, and Australia follows in November starting at AUD $2,599. Acer notes that these are limited-time prices and that configurations and availability will vary by market.
