Qualcomm and Google are bringing Snapdragon X Elite to the first wave of Googlebook laptops, pairing Qualcomm’s Arm-based PC platform with Google’s new Gemini-focused computing platform. Dell and HP are the first manufacturers on board, with their Snapdragon-powered Googlebook models available for pre-order now.
Googlebook is positioned as a premium laptop category built around Gemini Intelligence, Android device continuity, and native Android software. Snapdragon X Elite supplies the processing muscle and dedicated NPU hardware behind that experience, with Qualcomm and Google targeting long battery life, strong performance, and AI features designed to work throughout the operating system.
Gemini Intelligence Meets Snapdragon X Elite
The Googlebook experience includes features such as Magic Pointer, Rambler, and Cast my Apps.
Magic Pointer can use on-screen content as context for Gemini, allowing users to interact with information already visible on the display. Rambler is designed around capturing and organizing thoughts, and Cast my Apps brings Android phone apps into the laptop experience.
Googlebook can surface information from email, calendars, and other content as users work, with the goal of reducing the amount of hopping between apps and devices.
Snapdragon X Elite’s NPU handles AI workloads locally, giving Google another processing layer for Gemini features without relying entirely on cloud processing.
That combination makes Googlebook particularly relevant to people already carrying Android phones or tablets. Google and Qualcomm are treating the laptop as another part of that device ecosystem rather than a completely separate screen that happens to share a Google account.
Native Android Apps And Games Come To Googlebook

That could become one of the category’s more interesting differences from conventional Windows laptops and Chromebooks. Users can move from familiar Android software on a phone or tablet to the laptop without requiring a separate version of every application.
Qualcomm says Googlebook systems can tap into Snapdragon Elite Gaming technologies, including features intended to improve frame rates and graphics performance. The company has not provided specific gaming benchmarks for the initial Dell and HP systems.
The Android connection extends beyond software. Googlebook is designed for closer interaction with Snapdragon-powered Android phones and tablets, creating a more unified setup for users already invested in Google’s hardware and services.
Dell And HP Lead The First Wave
Dell is bringing Snapdragon X Elite to the XPS Googlebook, combining its XPS hardware design with Gemini Intelligence and Google’s Android-focused software experience.
HP is entering the category with the HP Googlebook 14, another Snapdragon X Elite system aimed at users who want Android apps, Google services, and laptop-class hardware in the same device.
Both companies are emphasizing mobility and battery life alongside the AI features, two areas where Snapdragon X Elite has become a central part of Qualcomm’s PC strategy.

Dell and HP Googlebook models powered by Snapdragon X Elite are available for pre-order now through the official Googlebook website.
The partnership gives Qualcomm another major route into premium laptops, but the more interesting shift may be what Google is building around the silicon. Googlebook takes several ideas Android users already know, including native apps, cross-device connectivity, and Gemini, and brings them together in a laptop designed around that ecosystem from the start.
