Verizon announced the Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.7 at CES, set to arrive in the coming weeks. It was the first tablet in the US with a Super AMOLED Plus display, and at 7.9mm thin and 340 grams, the world’s thinnest 4G LTE tablet at the time.
Key specs: Android 3.2 Honeycomb with Samsung TouchWiz, a 1.4GHz dual-core processor, a 7.7-inch WXGA Super AMOLED Plus display, a 3-megapixel rear camera with LED flash and 720p video, a 2-megapixel front-facing camera, 16GB onboard storage with microSD support to 32GB, Mobile Hotspot for up to 10 devices on 4G LTE or 5 on 3G, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n, AllShare DLNA, Wi-Fi Direct, and Peel Smart Remote for controlling home entertainment systems. Samsung Apps, Media Hub, and Social Hub were included. Pricing was not announced.
