U.S. Cellular launched the Samsung Galaxy Metrix 4G online, with in-store availability starting August 24th. Priced at $179 after a $100 mail-in rebate, or $129 after the rebate in current or planned 4G LTE markets, with a two-year agreement. No annual contract option also available.
Key specs: a sliding QWERTY keyboard, a 4-inch touchscreen, a 1GHz processor, a 5-megapixel rear camera with camcorder, a front-facing camera for video chat, and 4G LTE where available with 3G fallback elsewhere. Ran on Android with access to Google Play.
