Ottocast Cabin Care: CarPlay Adapter with Baby Camera

Ottocast Cabin Care: CarPlay Adapter with Baby Camera

Ottocast, a global leader in automotive connectivity solutions, has officially announced the release of the Cabin Care Wireless CarPlay Adapter. This dual-purpose device represents a significant shift in in-car ergonomics, merging high-definition rear-seat monitoring with seamless wireless smartphone integration to reduce driver distraction.

Unified Safety: Merging Vision with Connectivity

The Cabin Care system addresses the distraction gap often experienced by parents and pet owners. By embedding a live 1080p video feed directly into the vehicle’s existing CarPlay dashboard, the device eliminates the need for drivers to physically turn around or adjust secondary mirrors. This eyes-on-the-road philosophy ensures that monitoring a child’s well-being becomes a peripheral task rather than a hazardous diversion.

Advanced Optics and Versatile Display Modes

At the heart of the system is a 150° wide-angle camera equipped with no-glow infrared night vision, allowing for crystal-clear monitoring in total darkness without disturbing sleeping infants. To maintain cabin aesthetics and functionality, Ottocast has engineered several interface options:

  • Picture-in-Picture: A floating camera window that can be re-positioned over navigation maps.
  • Split-Screen: Simultaneous viewing of route guidance and the rear-seat feed.
  • Wireless Transformation: The unit also functions as a high-speed adapter, converting factory-wired CarPlay systems into a clutter-free wireless environment.

Bridging Technology and Parental Instinct

A statement from Ottocast leadership clarified the company’s mission with Cabin Care was to solve the tension between digital convenience and parental instinct. “We recognized that traditional baby monitors added unnecessary clutter to the dashboard. By integrating the camera feed directly into the CarPlay interface, we are providing families with a technologically elegant solution that prioritizes both safety and peace of mind during every journey,” said Sophia Chang, CEO of Ottocast.

Installation and Technical Compatibility

Designed for a non-intrusive setup, the camera includes a playful, removable owl-themed silicone cover and can be secured via headrest straps or metal clips. The system is compatible with iPhones running iOS 10 or later and requires a vehicle equipped with a factory-wired CarPlay touchscreen. Maintenance is simplified through Firmware Over-the-Air (FOTA) updates, ensuring the hardware remains compatible with evolving mobile software.

Global Pricing and Availability

The Ottocast Cabin Care system is available for purchase immediately through official channels:
