Narwal Expands Its Freo Lineup With FlowWash Mopping at IFA 2026

Narwal is broadening its cleaning lineup at IFA 2026 with two new Freo robot vacuums, a compact cordless vacuum, and an early look at a wet-and-dry vacuum family planned for Europe next year.

The biggest change is the move of Narwal’s FlowWash Mopping System into the Freo range. The Freo 20 and Freo 20 Edge both bring the company’s track-style self-cleaning mop to lower price points, giving shoppers more options beneath the flagship Flow series.

Freo 20 Brings More AI Into The Mix

The Freo 20 is the more advanced of the two new robot vacuums. It combines Narwal’s FlowWash system with 31,000Pa suction and the company’s NarMind Pro Autonomous System.

FlowWash uses a flattened microfiber track mop that Narwal says provides nearly seven times the contact area of traditional roller designs. A 16-nozzle system continuously washes the mop with 60°C water as the robot cleans, while an integrated scraper removes dirty water and debris. The mop presses against the floor with 12N of downward force, giving it more of a scrubbing action than a simple wet wipe.

For navigation and obstacle handling, the Freo 20 uses dual RGB cameras and AI recognition for more than 300 household objects. That puts its focus squarely on busier homes where toys, cords, shoes, pet gear, and other clutter can make automated cleaning more complicated.

Narwal has included its DualFlow Tangle-Free System for hair management and EdgeReach technology for cleaning closer to walls and room edges. The accompanying dock uses a woven-texture exterior and handles much of the routine maintenance automatically.

The Freo 20 is available in the U.S. for $1,099.99, with a launch price of $899.99 through September 3.

Freo 20 Edge Keeps The Cleaning Hardware, Drops Some AI

The Freo 20 Edge takes a simpler route. It retains the same 31,000Pa suction rating, FlowWash mopping system, DualFlow hair management, and EdgeReach cleaning found on the Freo 20, but skips the more advanced camera-based clutter recognition.

Instead, it relies on hidden dToF LiDAR and dual-sided structured-light 3D navigation. Narwal positions it for apartments and homes where floors are less cluttered and advanced object recognition may be less important.

Its 9.5cm body is designed to fit beneath lower furniture, and the included all-in-one dock automatically empties dust and dries the mop with 45°C hot air. That combination makes the Edge less sophisticated in terms of AI, but it keeps many of the cleaning features likely to matter day to day.

The Freo 20 Edge arrives in the U.S. September 7 for $799.99, with a $699.99 introductory price through September 20.

V50 Cube Targets Smaller Spaces

Narwal is branching beyond robot vacuums with the V50 Cube, a cordless stick vacuum paired with a compact automatic-emptying dock.

The vacuum weighs 1.4kg and produces a claimed 210AW of suction. Narwal includes tools for floors, carpet, furniture, upholstery, and tight spaces, making it a more traditional hands-on cleaner for jobs a robot cannot easily reach.

Its dock handles automatic dust disposal and uses nine-layer filtration. The smaller footprint should make it easier to place in apartments or multi-story homes where a full-size docking station could become an unwanted piece of furniture.

U.S. pricing and availability for the V50 Cube have not been announced.

Wet-And-Dry Vacuums Are Coming Next

Narwal used IFA to preview a wet-and-dry vacuum line planned for Europe in 2027. The range will include Essential and Flagship models.

The flagship version is slated to offer 400°C steam, 95°C hot-water mopping, 25,000Pa suction, and AI DirtSense technology that automatically adjusts cleaning power based on floor conditions. A floating scraper is designed to reduce tangles and streaks, while a 180-degree flat-lie design should help the vacuum reach beneath furniture.

Narwal claims up to 40 minutes of runtime in AI mode and triple-sided edge cleaning. U.S. launch details have not yet been provided.
