Dahua Technology used IFA 2026 in Berlin to demonstrate how its technology portfolio is evolving beyond conventional video surveillance. The company presented a broader collection of connected security and smart-home solutions designed to bring security, automation, monitoring, and safety technologies together within a unified ecosystem.
Among the highlights were new wire-free security products, intelligent intrusion protection, advanced residential video intercoms, fire-safety technology, and a wider selection of commercial and consumer display solutions.
Wire-Free Security Gets a Smarter Approach
One of the major highlights at the event was Dahua’s new WITHS product family, developed around the idea of making security installations easier, more flexible, and more intelligent.
WITHS supports multiple connectivity options, including Wi-Fi and 4G, while integrating with Dahua’s DMSS mobile application. For locations where conventional power sources are difficult to access, the system can also be configured with solutions such as solar power and high-capacity batteries.
The intelligence is built directly into the devices. Dahua’s WizColor technology is designed to provide detailed nighttime images, while AI capabilities can identify people, vehicles, pets, and facial characteristics. The system also supports features such as gesture-based controls and automatic subject tracking.
For smaller deployments, users can manage the system through mobile devices. Larger installations can connect the technology to NVR-based systems, allowing it to scale for more demanding security environments.
AirShield Combines Wireless Security Technologies
Dahua also introduced its AirShield solution as a hybrid approach to property protection. Instead of treating alarms, video intercoms, and surveillance cameras as separate systems, AirShield is designed to bring these technologies together through a connected security network.
The platform uses Dahua’s Airfly radio-frequency protocol to facilitate communication between wireless devices and the central hub. Its RF-HD technology is designed to support the fast transmission of images and audio across the system.
Another notable feature is its ability to work alongside older wired alarm installations. Expansion modules allow existing security infrastructure to incorporate newer wireless devices, potentially giving property owners a way to modernize their systems without replacing everything at once.
Cloud connectivity is another key component. Through DoLynk Cloud, property owners, security technicians, and professional Alarm Receiving Centers can remain connected to the same security environment, supporting remote monitoring, system management, and service operations.
WizTalk Turns Intercoms Into Smart Access Hubs
Dahua’s WizTalk residential intercom lineup takes traditional door-entry systems further by combining access control with video surveillance and smart-home functionality.
Some WizTalk entry stations feature 5MP cameras, while selected models use a dual-camera configuration combining 5MP and 2MP sensors. These systems are designed to provide a broader vertical field of view while maintaining color imagery in low-light conditions.
The intelligence extends beyond simply identifying who is standing at the door. Built-in AI features can recognize situations involving people loitering near an entrance, package deliveries, vehicles, pets, and even infant crying.
Dahua is also pairing the intercom technology with its Android 14-based SCP Series Smart Control Panels. The panels provide a central interface where users can access camera functions, adjust PTZ controls, zoom into images, receive security alerts, and interact with compatible third-party smart-home applications.
This approach effectively turns the residential intercom into a broader control point for security and connected-home functions.
Fire Protection Moves Into the AIoT Ecosystem
Dahua’s IFA presentation also demonstrated that the company’s ambitions extend beyond surveillance and access control.
Its Wisualarm technology focuses on connected fire prevention and detection. The system combines thermal and optical technologies with intelligent analysis and networked alarms, providing a more integrated approach to identifying potential fire hazards at an early stage.
By connecting detection devices with broader alarm and monitoring infrastructure, Dahua aims to make fire safety another component of the connected security ecosystem rather than an isolated system.
New Display Technology Broadens the Portfolio
The company also used the Berlin exhibition to showcase developments in visual display technology.
Among the products on display were high-refresh-rate gaming monitors aimed at users who want smoother and more responsive visuals. Dahua also highlighted professional displays designed for commercial environments and other business applications.
