Motorola Edge 50 Neo launches with 120Hz pOLED display and IP68 ratings

Motorola has added one more member to its flagship Edge 50 series – the Motorola Edge 50 Neo. The new Edge smartphone comes with an exceptionally lightweight design, premium finishes, a power-efficient processor, and a great camera system. Motorola also offers military-grade certification for the Edge 50 Neo, meaning it can easily withstand extreme environmental conditions. It has IP68 water and dust ingress protection, designed to withstand dust, dirt, and sand over 1mm in size, along with submersion in 1.5 meters of fresh water for up to 30 minutes. 

The Edge 50 Neo has a beautiful 6.4-inch 1.5K pOLED panel with up to 3000 nits peak brightness and 120Hz refresh rate, ensuring a smoother scrolling experience. The panel is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 3, ensuring solid durability.

Under the hood, the smartphone features MediaTek Dimensity 7300 chipset based on 4nm architecture and paired with Mali-G615 MC2 GPU, for handling gaming-sided things. It packs up to 12GB of RAM and 512GB of storage. It houses a 4,310mAh battery with 68W wired charging support. Motorola also offers 15W wireless charging support. 

For lenses, the Edge 50 Neo has a triple rear camera setup at the back. The main 50MP Sony LYTIA 700C sensor is paired with a 13MP ultrawide shooter and a 10MP telephoto sensor. There’s a 32MP shooter on the front for capturing selfies and video chats. 

Alongside the Edge 50 Neo, Motorola also introduced the Edge 50 smartphone in the Edge 50 series. The Edge 50 features a Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 Accelerated Edition processor, a 5,000mAh battery, and a stunning 6.67-inch curved 1.5k pOLED display with 120Hz refresh rate support. It has similar camera specs as the Edge 50 Neo. 

Pricing starts at 499 Euros, the Edge 50 Neo comes in Pantone Poinciana, Pantone Latte, Pantone Grisaille, and Pantone Nautical Blue color options. The smartphone is already available in European markets. It will also roll out to selected markets across Asia, Latin America, and Middle East in the coming months.
