Infinix just launched a new mid-range smartphone to take on the Motorola Edge 50 Fusion

Infinix ZERO 40 Series

Infinix has just announced the newest smartphones in its signature Zero series portfolio- the Infinix Zero 40 5G and Zero 40 4G. Successor to last year’s launched Zero 30 series comes with meaningful upgrades in battery, processor, display, camera, and much more. Infinix’s latest camera-centric Zero 40 series smartphones aim to deliver an exceptional videography experience with its superior camera setup. Let’s take a look at the detailed specs and pricing of the Infinix Zero 40 Series.

Starting with the camera department, Infinix Zero 40 Series devices feature a triple rear camera setup, consisting of a 108MP primary sensor with OIS support, a 50MP ultrawide lens with a 120-degree field of view, and a 2MP depth sensor, just to fill the space. On the front, you’ll find a 50MP shooter for capturing stunning selfies and video vlogs. You can shoot a maximum of 4K 60fps UHD video from both front and rear cameras. Infinix also fitted three microphones into the Zero 40 5G, offering precise directional sound capture and effective noise reduction.

Infinix Zero 40 5G is powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 8200 chipset paired with 12GB of RAM and up to 512GB of internal storage. On the other hand, the Zero 40 4G variant ships with a MediaTek Helio G100 chipset coupled with 8GB of RAM and 512GB of storage. Both devices run on the latest Android 14 based on Infinix’s XOS 14.5 out of the box. Infinix promises two major Android updates (up to Android 16) and three years of security updates.

Infinix ZERO 40 5G

The Infinix Zero 40 5G and Zero 4G boasts a 6.74-inch 3D curved FHD+ AMOLED display with peak brightness of up to 1300 nits. The Zero 40 5G comes with 144Hz refresh rate support while the Zero 40 5G offers 120Hz refresh rate. Both devices have a Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection on top, protecting them from accidental falls and scratches.

Infinix has completely changed the camera island on the latest Zero 40 series. It now comes in a centrally-positioned circular-shaped symmetrical design, which gives a smartphone a balanced and premium look. The 4G version measures just 7.7mm thin, and the 5G model is at 7.9mm and weighs 195 grams.

Infinix packs a massive 5,000mAh battery cell into the Zero 40 series smartphones with 45W fast charging support. You also get 20W wireless charging and 10W reverse wireless charging support in the 5G model, which is great. However, the 4G variant doesn’t support wireless charging.

The Infinix Zero 40 5G retails at $399 and will be available in Moving Titanium, Rock Black, and Violet Garden color options. The Zero 40 4G model is priced at $299 and comes in three beautiful color options – Blossom Glow, Rock Black, and Misty Aqua. Infinix will announce the availability at regional launches.
