After reading about the Samsung Galaxy Tab for what seemed like years (JK, it was only two months) I never thought it would come to the carriers much less to my house. Â I have owned the Archos and Augen versions of the mythical Android tablet and for my money, I believe Samsung got it right and all this without a proper tablet OS.
MyTouch 4G… An Inside Look [REVIEW]
T-Mobile fans and subscribers, I would wager to say that the majority of us are sporting something from the MyTouch series if we don’t have the Nexus One. Â Personally, after the G1, I moved to the MyTouch 3G, then to the MT3G Slide, and now, I have had the opportunity to get my hands on the 4G (Originally to be called the MyTouch HD, remember?) Â I wanted to take a moment to give you the good, the bad, and the ugly. Â Remember, this is just one phone geek’s opinion, but hey, I’ve used every phone in the MyTouch series, so I think I have some clout.

Samsung and Verizon Unveil Terribly Kept Secret That is the Continuum
Samsung and Verizon officially announced the latest in the Galaxy S series of phones yesterday with the new, exclusive Continuum.  The dual-screen device packs much of the same heft as Verizon’s other Galaxy S handset (Fascinate) with its 1GHz Hummingbird processor, 5-megapixel camera, and 8GB microSD card.  The top screen measures 3.4-inches while the bottom ‘ticker’ display comes in at 1.8-inches for displaying notifications, rss feeds, weather, and more.
As widely expected, the Continuum goes up for pre-sale November 11 th with a full availability nationwide on November18th. Â To get a sense for how the Continuum works in real world situations, Samsung has put together a two-minute clip. Â Additional pictures of the phone are also found after the break.
Rumor: Android 4.0 To Be Named “Ice Cream”?

You know, every employee makes a mistake from time to time. Some people lose a new iPhone, others accidentally put some files online to early…
And some people just say to much, like the president of ARM. Tudor Brown, who is familiar with the Android roadmap,  told Forbes that Android 4.0 will be named “Ice Cream”. This all seems to be quite logical if you keep in mind that Google always names their Android successors after a dessert in alphabetical order. After Froyo, you get Gingerbread, Honeycomb, Ice Cream, and much more… Google stays quiet about its future Android versions most of the time, but every company leaks a few things right?
Review: Samsung Fascinate
By now you’ve probably seen the reviews of the other Samsung Galaxy SÂ phones — the Epic 4G, Captivate, or Vibrant– or at least gotten an idea of what Samsung’s trying to do with Android 2010. Â Up until this now, the non-Droid Android offerings on Big Red’s network have been a little disappointing and quite lacking. Â The Fascinate is arguably the first handset that gives something like the Droid X or the Incredible a proper run for its money. This review (which should have been done a while ago I might add) is my honest opinion of a Bing-ified handset I wanted to hate, but actually end up loving.
Overall, the Fascinate represents Samsung’s first serious smartphone in years and their apparent desire to use Android to dominate the U.S. market. Â Did Samsung succeed with this handset? Did they nail it? Will this be the first non-Droid Android handset which is actually worth buying on Verizon? Â Hit the jump to find out!

Verizon Announces the Motorola Droid Pro [UPDATE]
UPDATE: Full press release and specs after the break:
Verizon has officially announced the Droid Pro. Â Before I go any farther, I just want to say that I absolutely love the form factor. Â I just hope Motorola got it right this time and we don’t have another Motorola Charm on our hands. Â We don’t know much specs-wise apart from Android 2.2 with Blur and global roaming support in more than 220 countries, but hopefully we will find out more soon. Â Verizon said this about the Droid Pro:
DROID PRO is a new, powerful, stronger and faster solution designed to meet both business and personal needs. The first Androidâ„¢-based smartphone optimized for business use, DROID PRO is also a global-ready Android smartphone, allowing customers to enjoy wireless voice service in more than 220 countries and data coverage in more than 200 countries.
Anyone digging this? I hope we find out more this week at CTIA. Â I might just pick this up.
