U.S. Cellular announced their fourth Android handset, the LG Apex, available November 19 for $79.99 after an $80 mail-in rebate. It ran Android 2.1 and featured a 3.2-inch tempered glass touchscreen with vibration feedback, a slide-out QWERTY keyboard, a 3-megapixel autofocus camera with flash and panorama mode, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and an MP3 player. Five customizable home screens and access to the Android Market rounded out the experience.
The Apex joined the HTC Desire, Samsung Acclaim, and Samsung Mesmerize in U.S. Cellular’s Android lineup. The LG Optimus U was still planned for December, rounding out the carrier’s Android offerings for 2010.
