Wyze has announced the Scale Ultra BodyScan Plus, a $149 smart scale that measures more than 50 body metrics and displays detailed results on a 4.3-inch color screen built into its handle. The new model expands on the company’s existing Scale Ultra BodyScan, giving users a convenient way to check their body composition without reaching for a smartphone.
Announced as part of Wyze Week, the Scale Ultra BodyScan Plus uses eight electrodes to measure body composition across the arms, legs, and torso. It supports both Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connectivity, with no subscription required to access its features.
A Closer Look at Body Composition
Traditional bathroom scales focus primarily on weight, but the Wyze Scale Ultra BodyScan Plus provides a broader picture of physical health. Its measurements include body fat percentage, muscle mass, BMI, body water, visceral fat, bone mass, protein, and basal metabolic rate.
The scale uses dual-frequency bioelectrical impedance analysis (BIA), which sends small electrical signals through the body to estimate its composition. Wyze says the technology was developed and validated with clinical research institutions, though independent accuracy results weren’t provided.
Segmental analysis breaks down muscle and fat measurements by body region, helping users identify potential imbalances and follow changes over time. This could be particularly useful for people tracking strength training, weight management, or general fitness progress.
Your Health Data, Right in Your Hands
The biggest addition is the 4.3-inch full-color TFT display built into the scale’s handle. It presents body composition measurements, changes since the previous weigh-in, and trends for selected metrics.
Users can customize which measurements appear and arrange them according to their preferences.
Wi-Fi connectivity automatically syncs measurements to the Wyze app without requiring a nearby phone. The scale can operate offline, too, with results appearing directly on the handle display. Support for Apple Health, Health Connect, and Google Health provides additional ways to manage the collected information.
Designed for the Whole Household
The Wyze Scale Ultra BodyScan Plus automatically recognizes up to eight users, supports unlimited guest measurements, and allows data sharing with unlimited people.
Dedicated Baby, Pet, and Luggage modes extend its usefulness beyond personal fitness tracking. A seamless ITO-coated glass surface eliminates the need to position feet precisely over exposed metal electrodes.
Pricing and Availability
The Wyze Scale Ultra BodyScan Plus is priced at $149, undercutting the $200-plus pricing Wyze cites for comparable eight-electrode models.
All body metrics, segmental measurements, and historical trends are available in the Wyze app without a paid subscription.
The announcement is part of Wyze Week, running October 19–23, 2026, with three product launches planned during the event.
