Straight Talk Wireless is giving its unlimited plans an upgrade, adding faster 5G connectivity, more mobile hotspot data, and expanded benefits without increasing monthly base prices. The changes apply to its Silver, Gold, and Platinum Unlimited plans, with additional savings available for customers who bundle Home Internet service.
The Verizon-owned prepaid wireless brand is keeping its familiar pricing structure, including the $45 monthly Silver Unlimited plan that has maintained the same base price since 2009. For customers looking to stretch their wireless budgets, the new benefits could make an existing plan more appealing without requiring a move to a higher tier.
Faster 5G and More Hotspot Data
The updated Straight Talk lineup brings expanded access to Verizon’s 5G Ultra Wideband network, which can deliver faster data speeds in supported coverage areas.
Straight Talk is increasing mobile hotspot data allowances by up to 66%, depending on the plan. That extra capacity could prove useful for customers who regularly connect laptops, tablets, or other devices to their phones, particularly when Wi-Fi isn’t available.
Expanded international coverage is another part of the announcement, giving subscribers additional connectivity options when traveling outside the United States.

The company hasn’t provided a complete breakdown of the revised hotspot allowances or international benefits for each plan.
Three Unlimited Plans Keep Their Existing Prices
Straight Talk’s three unlimited tiers retain their current monthly base prices:
- Silver Unlimited: $45/month. The entry-level unlimited plan gains expanded benefits while maintaining its longstanding price.
- Gold Unlimited: $55/month. Subscribers continue receiving a Walmart+ membership and 100GB of cloud storage alongside the updated connectivity benefits.
- Platinum Unlimited: $65/month. The highest-priced tier retains its included Walmart+ membership and 500GB of cloud storage.
The continued Walmart+ memberships on Gold and Platinum could be particularly useful for subscribers who already shop regularly at Walmart, where Straight Talk service is sold exclusively alongside its online availability.
Home Internet Bundles Bring Additional Savings
Straight Talk is extending its Home Internet bundle discount to customers on all three unlimited plans.
Silver, Gold, and Platinum subscribers can now receive $10 off Home Internet each month, reducing its monthly base price from $45 to $35 when paired with an eligible unlimited wireless plan.
That brings the combined monthly base price to $80 for Silver and Home Internet, $90 for Gold, and $100 for Platinum.
For households interested in consolidating wireless and home connectivity under one provider, the discount offers a straightforward way to reduce recurring costs.
The updated Straight Talk plans are available through Walmart and online. Customers can find additional information at StraightTalk.com or Walmart.com.
