Dell Technologies has announced the global release of its latest enterprise hardware, introducing the Dell Pro 7 Webcam 4K (WB726) and the Dell Pro 5 Webcam 2K (WB526).
Designed specifically for the enterprise market and hybrid working environments, the new peripherals emphasize artificial intelligence (AI) imaging optimizations, integrated biometric security, and dedicated collaboration tools.
The rollout expands Dell’s unified hardware ecosystem, providing IT departments with tiered deployment options across premium, mid-range, and budget categories to simplify organizational standardization.
AI-Driven Optimization and Real-Time Scene Analysis
Departing from traditional webcam design focused purely on pixel count, the new product line integrates real-time scene processing. The onboard AI system dynamically evaluates user environments to mitigate poor office lighting, normalize skin tones, and adjust color accuracy.
Additionally, automatic framing algorithms track user movement to keep subjects centered during video broadcasts, addressing the aesthetic demands of professional remote communications.
Premium Architecture: The Dell Pro 7 4K
The flagship model, the Dell Pro 7 Webcam 4K, targets power users requiring high-fidelity video capture.

- Imaging Sensor: Built around a Sony STARVIS sensor, the device records at 4K Ultra HD at 60 frames per second (fps) to ensure fluid motion and sharp clarity.
- Audio Tracking: The device features a specialized microphone that combines vision tracking with AI filtering to isolate the user’s voice and block ambient background noise outside the camera’s active field of view.
- Automated Security: Integrated presence-sensing technology pairs with Windows Hello, allowing the workstation to automatically log the user in upon arrival and lock the operating system when the user departs.
Mid-Tier Security and Deployment: The Dell Pro 5 2K
Positioned as a more accessible corporate alternative, the Dell Pro 5 Webcam 2K introduces advanced biometric features to a lower price tier.

The 2K Quad HD peripheral utilizes a standard Sony sensor to deliver high-resolution video. Notably, it stands as Dell’s first mid-tier 2K camera to support Windows Hello facial recognition for secure passwordless authentication. For physical security in open-plan corporate offices or co-working spaces, the chassis includes a built-in metal loop compatible with standard Kensington locks to deter equipment theft.
Enhanced Presentation Tools for Shared Workspaces
Both the Pro 7 and Pro 5 models introduce updated presentation utilities designed for interactive meetings. A new “Document View” mode alters the orientation to cleanly capture physical paperwork or notebooks flat on a desk, while “Gesture Control” allows presenters to manipulate digital zoom and focus on physical objects using hand commands.
With these additions, Dell’s professional webcam lineup now consists of three distinct tiers:
- Dell Pro 7 (WB726): High-end 4K imaging at 60fps with advanced automation.
- Dell Pro 5 (WB526): Balanced 2K resolution featuring native biometric login tools.
- Dell Pro 3 (WB3023): The company’s existing entry-level 2K option for standard enterprise deployment.
Commercial Availability and Pricing
Dell has confirmed that both peripherals are currently available via global retail and corporate distribution channels. The premium Dell Pro 7 4K is priced at $199.99 USD, while the mainstream Dell Pro 5 2K is positioned at $119.99 USD.
