Jackery has announced its HomePower Emergency Pro Series, a trio of portable power stations created with the American Red Cross and built around a clever idea: emergency backup power is much more useful when the battery is already charged before trouble arrives.
The Red Cross Edition lineup includes the HomePower 1000 Plus v2, HomePower 2000 Plus v2, and HomePower 3600 Plus. The models span several capacity and output levels for uses ranging from keeping home electronics running during an outage to powering equipment at temporary shelters and emergency response sites.
The products are tied to Jackery’s “Power the Rescuers” campaign. Jackery says 10% of profits from Red Cross Edition models will support emergency response workers through the direct deployment of Jackery power stations.
Storm Alert Keeps an Eye on the Forecast
One of the more practical additions is Storm Alert, which uses weather data from the OpenWeather API to monitor forecasts for severe weather.
When the system detects incoming severe weather, the power station automatically begins charging to 100% and sends a notification to the user. Storm Alert can override existing charging schedules and preset charge or discharge limits, reducing the chance of discovering a half-empty battery when the lights go out.
Emergency Reserve Mode covers less predictable situations. Users can reserve between 20% and 100% of battery capacity through the Jackery app. That stored energy remains unavailable for everyday use until the user activates the One-Tap Unlock control during an emergency.
It’s essentially the battery equivalent of hiding cash in the sock drawer, except considerably more useful when the refrigerator stops running.
Three Power Stations Cover Different Needs
The HomePower 1000 Plus v2 Red Cross Edition has a 1,024Wh capacity and 1,800W continuous output. It weighs 23.8 pounds, supports 50-minute AC charging, includes four AC outlets, and can expand to 11kWh with compatible Jackery battery packs.
Moving up the range, the HomePower 2000 Plus v2 carries 2,048Wh of storage and 2,400W of output. Capacity can expand to 12kWh. Jackery’s Priority Routing feature lets users prioritize critical loads when connected equipment demands more power than the station can provide.
The HomePower 3600 Plus sits at the top with 3,584Wh of storage and 3,600W output. Expansion pushes capacity beyond 21kWh. Two units can be connected in parallel for up to 43kWh of storage and 7,200W continuous output, including support for 240V equipment.
All three use LFP battery cells, Jackery’s CTB 2.0 construction, and offer UPS switching in 10 milliseconds or less. Jackery rates the batteries for 6,000 cycles before reaching 70% usable capacity. Solar and gas-generator charging are supported as alternate ways to replenish the batteries during longer grid outages.
Pricing and Availability
The HomePower 1000 Plus v2 Red Cross Edition carries a $749 MSRP, with availability beginning September 29, 2026. The HomePower 2000 Plus v2 Red Cross Edition arrives the same day for $1,199.
The larger HomePower 3600 Plus Red Cross Edition is priced at $1,899, with shipping expected to begin in early November. Jackery will open sign-ups for sales updates on September 29.
