Jackery has announced the Explorer 100D, a compact portable power station designed for people who need dependable charging throughout the workday, during travel, or away from traditional power outlets. With a 96Wh battery, up to 158W of output, and a starting price of $99, the new model offers a middle ground between conventional power banks and larger portable power stations.
The Explorer 100D is small enough to carry in a backpack and meets the 100Wh battery capacity threshold commonly used for airline carry-on approval. That makes it particularly appealing to frequent travelers, remote workers, and anyone whose laptop and smartphone tend to run low at inconvenient times.
Compact Design With Long-Term Battery Durability
Measuring 4.7 x 3.3 x 3.4 inches and weighing approximately 1.9 pounds, the Jackery Explorer 100D is considerably smaller than the power stations typically associated with outdoor adventures and emergency backup.
An integrated soft-touch handle and optional shoulder strap provide carrying options beyond simply tossing it into a bag.

Inside is a 96Wh (30,000mAh) lithium iron phosphate (LiFePO4) battery rated for 3,000 charge cycles. Jackery estimates this translates to approximately eight years of regular use, based on daily charging and discharging.
The company claims its battery technology provides substantially greater longevity than traditional lithium-ion power banks, which commonly carry ratings of 300 to 500 cycles.
Fast USB-C Charging and Multiple Power Sources
The Explorer 100D features two USB-C ports, each supporting up to 140W output, alongside an additional 18W output. Maximum combined output reaches 158W.
Support for USB Power Delivery 3.1, PPS, and AVS charging protocols allows the device to work with compatible laptops, smartphones, cameras, and other USB-powered electronics.
According to Jackery, the battery can provide at least three full smartphone charges or more than one full charge for a 14-inch MacBook Pro. Actual results will vary depending on the connected device and charging conditions.
Recharging options extend beyond a wall adapter. The Explorer 100D supports 100W USB-C charging, direct solar input up to 100W, and vehicle charging through 12V or 24V systems.

Jackery says the battery can reach 80% capacity in approximately 1.5 hours using 100W USB-C charging, with comparable results possible through solar charging under favorable sunlight conditions.
Pricing and Availability
The Jackery Explorer 100D will initially be available through two retail channels:
- Costco: A two-unit bundle priced at $179.99, available at select warehouse locations beginning November 7, 2026.
- Walmart: A standalone unit priced at $99, available beginning November 15, 2026.
The Costco bundle effectively brings the price to $90 per unit, making it the better value for households needing multiple batteries.
With high-output USB-C charging, airline-friendly capacity, and a long-life battery, the Explorer 100D looks particularly practical for travelers carrying several power-hungry devices.
