HONOR MagicPad 2 announced with Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 and 144Hz OLED display

HONOR has unveiled its next-generation Android tablet – the MagicPad 2 along with the Honor Magic V3 series foldable and MagicBook Art 14 laptop. HONOR’s new MagicPad 2 brings meaningful upgrades from the new OLED panel to Qualcomm flagship processor and improved battery life over the predecessor. So, have a look at the detailed specs, pricing, and availability.

HONOR MagicPad 2 features a large 12.3-inch 3K OLED panel with a 144Hz refresh rate, 1600 nits peak brightness, and 92% screen-to-body ratio. The panel has been certified by TUV Rheinland, protecting the eye from flickering and blue light. In terms of dimensions, the tablet is just 5.8mm thin and weighs just 555 grams.

HONOR also incorporated its in-house Oasis AI defocus eye protection technology in its MagicPad 2 tablet adopting industry-leading UHF 4320Hz PWM dimming paired with AI and offering users natural light-like eye protection. The tablet has a 13MP rear camera and a 9MP front camera for selfies and video chats.

The Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 chipset powers the tablet, a slightly weaker version of the original Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset, paired with Adreno 735 GPU. It packs up to 16GB RAM and 1TB of onboard storage. For software, the MagicPad 2 runs on HONOR’s MagicOS 8.0 based on Android 14 out of the box. It houses a massive 10,050mAh battery with 66W fast charging support.

Other features of the MagicPad 2 include whooping 8 speakers with 3D spatial audio support, WiFi 6, HDR10, HONOR MagicPad 2 Bluetooth Keyboard, and Magic Pencil 3 accessories support.

The HONOR MagicPad 2 starts at CNY 2,899 ($399) for the base 8GB + 256GB model while the high-end 16GB + 1TB retails at CNY 4199 ($579). It comes in Moon Shadow White, Starry Sky Black, and Sky Sea Blue color options.
