We’ve been carrying the Olight ArkPro for several weeks across everyday tasks, a camping trip, and some hands-on mechanical work, and it’s settled in quickly as our preferred pocket flashlight. At $130, it’s firmly in premium EDC territory, but it also brings a level of versatility that few pocket lights can match.
The ArkPro is the latest flagship in Olight’s flat flashlight lineup, succeeding the Arkfeld and Arkfeld Ultra. It combines four independent light sources, USB-C charging, rugged construction, and a pocket-friendly design that solves one of the biggest problems with traditional flashlights: actually wanting to carry them every day.
Design & Build
The flat, wedge-shaped form factor remains the ArkPro’s biggest selling point. It slips into a front pocket more like a pocket knife than a flashlight, avoiding the bulk and obvious printing associated with conventional cylindrical designs.

Olight builds the ArkPro from its proprietary O-aluminum, a material the company says is 1.73 times harder than standard 6061 aluminum alloy. In daily use, it feels exceptionally solid. The body has a dense, premium feel, while the beveled edges and smooth finish have held up well against the casual abuse that inevitably comes with everyday carry.
A deep-carry two-way pocket clip keeps the light secure and allows for flexible mounting options. The ArkPro is longer than some competing flat lights, which may not appeal to everyone, but we’ve found the dimensions perfectly manageable during daily carry.
The flashlight is available in seven color options and comes backed by Olight’s lifetime warranty, adding some reassurance to what is ultimately a premium purchase.
Setup & Charging
Out of the box, the ArkPro ships partially charged, with the battery indicator showing the current charge level through a simple four-bar system.

Before first use, you’ll need to connect it to power to unlock the battery, as outlined in the included instructions. From there, charging is refreshingly simple. The ArkPro adopts USB-C charging as its primary method, allowing users to recharge it using the same cable they’re already carrying for their smartphone, tablet, or laptop.
Olight also retains magnetic charging compatibility for users already invested in the company’s ecosystem, but for most people, USB-C is the real story here. It removes one of the biggest frustrations from earlier Olight models that relied exclusively on proprietary charging solutions.
Features & Performance
The ArkPro’s headline feature is its four independent light sources:
- Pure Flood: 1,500 lumens
- Spotlight: 800 lumens
- 365nm UV Light
- Green Laser
Together, they create a remarkably versatile EDC tool.
Pure Flood
The floodlight uses Olight’s proprietary EIP 1 LED chip to produce a wide, seamless beam pattern with minimal hotspots. This quickly became our most-used mode. Whether navigating a dark parking lot, setting up camp after sunset, or searching through a cluttered garage, the flood beam provides broad, even illumination that feels genuinely useful rather than simply impressive on a spec sheet.

Spotlight
When distance matters, the spotlight takes over. Rated at 800 lumens, it provides a focused beam capable of reaching well beyond typical EDC flashlight distances. During testing, it comfortably illuminated terrain approximately 75 yards away on a dark hillside, making it useful for property checks, trail navigation, and general outdoor use.
UV Light
The 365nm UV emitter includes both high and low output modes and features a ZWB filter for cleaner ultraviolet output. While UV lighting can sound like a novelty feature, we’ve found it surprisingly practical for identifying fluid leaks, inspecting surfaces, and other troubleshooting tasks. For outdoor users, it can also be useful for locating scorpions and other UV-reactive materials.
Green Laser
The integrated green laser is one of those features that sounds excessive until you start using it. It can operate independently or alongside any of the other three light sources, creating seven total lighting configurations. Whether pointing out equipment, directing attention during projects, or simply extending the light’s utility, it adds more value than expected.
User Interface

Olight does a nice job keeping the controls intuitive despite the number of features onboard.
Separate switches control the flood and spotlight functions, making it easy to access the desired mode without cycling endlessly through menus. Both primary light sources offer five brightness levels:
- Moonlight (1 lumen)
- Low
- Medium
- High
- Turbo
A double-tap instantly activates Turbo mode, providing maximum output when needed.
As expected with a compact flashlight producing this much light, Turbo mode automatically steps down after a period of use to manage heat. That’s standard behavior in modern high-output flashlights and helps protect both performance and battery longevity.
Battery Life
The ArkPro uses an internal, non-replaceable battery, which may be a consideration for some enthusiasts who prefer user-swappable cells.
For our use, battery life has been more than adequate. Even with regular daily carry and frequent use of the floodlight, we haven’t found ourselves constantly reaching for a charger. The addition of USB-C makes recharging simple enough that battery management becomes largely invisible.

Who It’s For
The ArkPro is ideal for anyone who appreciates the convenience of a flat EDC flashlight but doesn’t want to compromise on output or versatility.
It’s equally at home clipped into a pocket, tucked into a camping kit, stored in a work vehicle, or sitting on a workbench. The combination of flood, spotlight, UV, and laser functions gives it capabilities that go well beyond what most everyday flashlights offer.
Users who have avoided carrying a flashlight because traditional designs feel bulky may find the ArkPro particularly appealing. It’s the kind of tool that disappears into a pocket until the moment you need it.
Early Verdict

The Olight ArkPro is probably the best flat EDC flashlight we’ve used to date. The build quality is excellent, the feature set feels genuinely useful rather than gimmicky, and the move to USB-C charging removes one of the few pain points that lingered in previous generations.
At $130, it isn’t inexpensive. However, between the premium construction, four integrated light sources, versatile user interface, USB-C convenience, and lifetime warranty, it makes a compelling case for enthusiasts, professionals, and anyone serious about everyday carry gear.
The ArkPro proves that the best flashlight isn’t necessarily the brightest one. It’s the one that’s easy enough to carry that it’s always there when you need it.
