Both platforms tap AMD’s Ryzen AI MAX+ PRO 495 processor to bring serious AI horsepower directly to desks and local racks, sparing users from round-the-clock cloud dependence.
Across both machines, MINISFORUM delivers up to 131 TOPS of AI compute performance, alongside up to 192GB of high-speed memory running at 8533 MT/s and up to 160GB of graphics memory. That level of unified throughput and memory headroom is tailored to handle larger local models, complex edge workloads, and private deployments without running out of breath. Together, the duo serves as a complementary pair: the MS-S1 acts as a low-latency compute frontend, while the N5 functions as the data-dense backend.

AI Agent NAS N5 MAX-P495: Local Storage Meets Persistent Intelligence
The N5 MAX-P495 is built for teams and power users looking to combine heavy data storage with local AI agent execution. A network-attached storage (NAS) device is traditionally where backups live, but MINISFORUM reworks the concept into an active local AI backend capable of hosting up to 200TB of storage.

Instead of routing sensitive information off-site, the N5 MAX-P495 handles persistent AI workloads locally. It manages vector databases, embeddings, and Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) knowledge bases directly on-device. It is also optimized to run continuous AI agents like OpenClaw and Hermes, allowing automated workflows to hum along safely behind your own firewall.
