The new roster introduces two distinct devices, the flagship Circular Ring 3 Pro and the ultra-compact Circular Ring 3 Slim, bridging the gap between in-depth biometric tracking and daily lifestyle utility.
Traditionally, buyers looking at smart rings, or wearables worn on the finger to track body metrics discreetly, have had to choose between a health-focused device or a dedicated payment token. Circular is merging those paths, delivering the industry’s first smart rings that package both comprehensive wellness sensors and secure NFC tap-to-pay functionality into a single piece of finger jewelry.
Circular Ring 3 Pro: Advanced Biometrics Meet Tap-to-Pay
The flagship Circular Ring 3 Pro serves as the full-featured powerhouse in the lineup. It incorporates an FDA-cleared ECG for atrial fibrillation (AFib) detection alongside blood pressure trend monitoring, glucose tracking, sleep analysis, and wide-ranging biometric surveillance. Circular notes that its glucose insights serve as non-invasive wellness metrics rather than medical tools for diagnosing or managing diabetes.
Beyond data gathering, the Ring 3 Pro brings back Circular’s signature haptic vibration engine, first seen in the original Circular Ring. Rather than checking a screen, users receive subtle on-finger vibrations for silent wake-up alarms, vital health alerts, guided breathing sessions, and medication reminders.
When it is time to grab a morning coffee, the built-in NFC allows wearers to pay via supported Visa and Mastercard accounts with a quick tap against a payment terminal, leaving both phone and wallet in the pocket.
Circular Ring 3 Slim: Lightweight Focus and 10-Day Battery
For users who want everyday convenience without clinical-grade sensors, the Circular Ring 3 Slim offers a streamlined alternative. The Slim model retains the essential NFC contactless payment features while scaling back to the core health metrics that casual trackers need most: sleep tracking, heart rate, heart rate variability (HRV), blood oxygen saturation (SpO₂), skin temperature, and daily activity logs.
The payoff for the pared-down sensor array is form factor and endurance. Circular rates the Ring 3 Slim for up to 10 days of battery life, offering an exceptionally low-maintenance wearable for day-to-day use.
Hardware Specs, Kira AI, and Availability
Both devices in the Circular Ring 3 Series are built from titanium steel, carry a 50-meter water-resistance rating, and support wireless charging. Despite fitting NFC chips inside, Circular notes that these are the smallest smart rings the company has manufactured to date. Sizing runs standard across US sizes 6 through 14.
The physical rings feed data into the newly updated Kira companion app. Kira uses an AI platform to synthesize raw metrics into proactive lifestyle recommendations and visual wellness trends over time.
