Bigger, Brighter, and Smarter: TCL Unveils QM6K TV Lineup at CES

TCL has announced its latest innovations at the 2025 International Consumer Electronics Show (CES), showcasing the new QM6K TV Series. The series represents the company’s ongoing efforts to blend premium technology with accessibility, solidifying its position as a leader in the home entertainment space. With advancements like enhanced QD-Mini LED technology and XXL screen sizes, TCL aims to provide an immersive experience tailored to cinema, sports, and gaming enthusiasts.

Pioneering QD-Mini LED Technology

TCL’s Pangu Lab has been pivotal in refining Mini LED technology, and the results for 2025 are striking. The QM6K series benefits from a new Super High Energy LED Chip that boosts brightness by over 53% while improving light efficiency by 10%. To complement this, the redesigned Condensed Micro Lens offers greater light control, reducing blooming and enhancing backlight uniformity by 143%.

Another major improvement is the TCL Micro OD, a minimized optical distance system that sharpens contrast by virtually eliminating halo effects. Combined with a high-contrast CSOT HVA Panel, the QM6K achieves up to 7,000:1 static contrast ratio, which significantly enhances picture clarity and depth.

Enhanced Color and Processing Capabilities

The QM6K series leverages TCL’s upgraded Quantum Dot technology to deliver over one billion colors with a DCI-P3 color gamut coverage exceeding 98%. A new Color Optimization Algorithm ensures that these colors remain vibrant and lifelike across different types of content.

Signal processing has been elevated as well, with features like Zero-Delay Transient Response and a Bi-directional 23-bit Backlight Controller. These innovations allow for real-time adjustments across 65,000 brightness levels, ensuring optimal HDR performance. The inclusion of a Dynamic Light Algorithm further enhances SDR content, rendering it with near-HDR quality.

Halo Control Technology Suite

The new Halo Control Technology Suite integrates TCL’s hardware and software enhancements into a cohesive system. This suite underpins the QM6K’s visual performance, making it a standout option in its class. Key features include:

  • Up to LD500 Precise Dimming Zones
  • High HDR brightness for vivid visuals
  • A 144Hz native refresh rate and Game Accelerator 288 for gaming
  • Support for Dolby Vision IQ, HDR10+, and Dolby Atmos
  • A revamped Onkyo 2.1 speaker system

Accessible Pricing for Premium Performance

The QM6K series is designed to redefine affordability in premium televisions. Pricing starts at $749.99 for a 50-inch model and goes up to $3,499.99 for a massive 98-inch screen. Preorders for the 65-, 75-, and 85-inch models are open, and these sizes come bundled with a complimentary TCL Q75H soundbar.

Expanding the Precise Dimming Series

TCL has hinted at additional models within the Precise Dimming Series, ensuring more choices for consumers seeking cutting-edge Mini LED technology. TCL’s QM6K Series reflects the brand’s commitment to making advanced home entertainment accessible. With significant strides in display technology and thoughtful pricing, the company continues to set a high standard in the industry.
