eufy Security LocalSecure Keeps Premium Coverage At Home

eufy Security LocalSecure Keeps Premium Coverage At Home

Keeping your home safe doesn’t have to mean dealing with messy wiring or being tethered to a never-ending monthly subscription. eufy Security, a brand under the Anker Innovations umbrella, has carved out a massive following by focusing on privacy-first, locally stored security solutions that are “Built with Care”.

Their ecosystem is designed to give you professional-grade protection without the hidden fees, offering everything from smart locks to robot vacuums that all work together to make your life easier. Whether you are a new homeowner or a renter looking for flexible options, eufy’s goal is to provide ultimate imaging and full control through a system that is intuitive enough for the whole family to use while protecting your data.

The Mission Control: Smart Display E10

A white smart display showing a live streaming interface with camera feeds labeled 'Rabbit Cam', 'Driveway', and 'Front Side Gate', alongside a playback section displaying recent events.

The eufy Smart Display E10 is the ultimate upgrade for anyone tired of fumbling for their phone every time a notification pops up. This sleek, 8-inch touchscreen acts as a dedicated mission control for your home, providing Instant Hands-Free Door Alerts.

Level Up is where we explore the gear that actually makes a difference, whether that’s in how you live, work, or unwind. Each edition brings together standout products, whether tied by brand or by theme, that turn the everyday into something a little more exceptional.

When someone rings your doorbell or your cameras detect motion, the display automatically lights up with a live feed and a voice alert. It’s designed to be simple enough for kids and seniors to use, ensuring that everyone in the house knows exactly what’s happening at the front door without needing to access a mobile app.

One of the most compelling features for power users is the ability to view four simultaneous live feeds on a single screen. You can keep an eye on the backyard, the driveway, the nursery, and the front porch all at once while maintaining near-instant access to the video streams.

Because the E10 is designed to work with the HomeBase S380, it also provides Instant Playback of historical events with zero buffering, as it pulls data directly from local storage. It even features a dedicated physical button for One-Touch Emergency Alerts, allowing you to trigger an alarm immediately if you see something suspicious.

Setting up the E10 is a breeze, and it comes with both a wall-mount bracket and a charging dock. It supports 2.4/5GHz Wi-Fi 6 for a stable, high-speed connection and includes a built-in 4,050mAh battery for portable use around the house. While it currently focuses exclusively on managing eufy Security products, its ability to generate Smart Daily Reports—which use AI to summarize key events like package deliveries or familiar faces—makes it an indispensable hub for a truly smart home.

The Brains of the Operation: HomeBase S380 (HomeBase 3)

If the Smart Display is the face of your system, the eufy HomeBase S380, also known as HomeBase 3, is undoubtedly the brains. This central hub is what transforms standard cameras into a high-tech security network. Its standout feature is BionicMind AI, a self-learning algorithm that can differentiate between family members and strangers with up to 99.9% accuracy.

This means you can finally say goodbye to annoying false alarms. eufy allows you to set the system to only notify you when an actual stranger is on your property, while ignoring the kids coming home from school. I’ve found it’s very accurate while synced to the local HomeBase 3.

Storage is where the HomeBase S380 really shines and saves you money in the long run. It comes with 16GB of built-in storage, but you can expand that up to a massive 16TB by adding a 2.5-inch hard drive. This allows you to store months or even years of video clips locally with no monthly fees.

It is compatible with almost the entire eufy Security lineup, including eufyCam models, battery doorbells, and sensors, centralizing all your management into one place. Users have noted that it even helps improve the signal strength of connected cameras, providing “full bars” of connection compared to standard Wi-Fi routers.

Beyond just storing video, the HomeBase S380 acts as a proactive guardian. It features a built-in 100 dB siren that can be triggered by motion to ward off intruders. It also creates Daily Security Briefings, giving you a categorized summary of the day’s events so you can understand what happened around your home in just a few seconds. With its quad-core processor and advanced encryption, it ensures that your data stays private and your home stays protected 24/7.

The All-Seeing Eye: SoloCam S340

A solar-powered security camera mounted on a house, featuring a rotating black lens and a small solar panel attached to the top.

Rounding out this powerful trio is the SoloCam S340, a camera that defines “total yard protection.” This isn’t just a static camera; it’s a 360° Guardian with a dual-lens system. It features a 3K wide-angle lens for the big picture and a 2K telephoto lens that allows for 8× hybrid zoom, letting you see details clearly from up to 40 feet away. Its pan-and-tilt capabilities (360° horizontal and 70° vertical) mean there are literally no blind spots around your home.

What makes the SoloCam S340 a favorite for many is its SolarPlusâ„¢ technology. Each camera comes with a removable 2.2W solar panel that, with just a few hours of sunlight, can provide “Forever Power,” eliminating the need to ever take the camera down for charging. Because it is wire-free and compact, installation takes about five minutes. It is also built to endure the elements, with a weatherproof design that can handle everything from blizzards to intense heat.

Installation instructions card for a solar-powered camera, displaying two methods: Method 1 suggests mounting the camera and solar panel separately with a USB-C connection, while Method 2 recommends attaching the solar panel bracket directly to the camera with screws.

When paired with the HomeBase S380, the S340’s capabilities are supercharged. It uses AI-powered tracking to follow motion, ensuring that a person walking across your yard stays in the frame the entire time. While it has 8GB of its own internal storage for standalone use, connecting it to the HomeBase allows it to utilize the larger hard drive storage and upgrades its AI to include Human Recognition and pet detection.

It’s a versatile, “install it and forget it” solution that provides incredible peace of mind with crystal-clear color night vision and two-way audio. By combining these three devices—the Smart Display E10 for easy monitoring, the HomeBase S380 for intelligent central management, and the SoloCam S340 for comprehensive outdoor coverage—you aren’t just buying gadgets; you’re investing in a cohesive, subscription-free security ecosystem that puts you in control.
