The team at COROS officially introduced the PACE 4 Pro, bringing a noticeable upgrade to their sport watch lineup. Priced at $449, this lightweight watch targets dedicated endurance athletes and everyday fitness enthusiasts who want high-end hardware without bulk.
I’ve been testing this new watch from COROS for about three weeks now. During this process I’ve used it to navigate local walks, take a few short runs, and work out in my garage with HIIT-style training. I feel like this gave me a well-rounded experience to throw my thoughts together in this full review.
Design
When you first put on the COROS PACE 4 Pro, the vibrant LTPO AMOLED touchscreen grabs your attention immediately. Measuring 1.47 inches with a crisp 466 x 466 resolution, this display delivers up to 3500 nits of peak brightness for effortless visibility under direct sunlight. COROS protected this large screen with 2.5D sapphire glass, ensuring high durability against scratches during trail runs or gym sessions.
Framing the screen is an ultra narrow titanium alloy bezel that gives the device a premium finish. The black variant features a specialized wear-resistant coating, while the watch body itself uses high-strength polymer. Despite these durable materials, the watch remains remarkably slim with a body depth of just 11.8 mm.
Weight management is another area where this watch excels. The watch body weighs only 38 grams, reaching 43 grams with the standard nylon band and 51 grams with the silicone option. Compared to the standard PACE 4, this Pro version offers a screen that is 22.5 percent larger while adding only 11 grams of weight. Users can choose between classic black and white color options to suit their personal style. I was genuinely surprised at how light the white model I received feels on my wrist.

Setup
Setting up the watch is straightforward through the official COROS mobile app on iOS or Android devices. You begin by pairing the watch via Bluetooth, after which you can install necessary device firmware updates. Data synchronization occurs seamlessly over Bluetooth to your phone or directly over Wi-Fi networks to COROS servers.
During the setup process, users can customize their activity data pages with up to 11 metrics or choose new multi-data layouts for running. Should any pairing prompts occur during initial use, resolving the issue requires removing the watch from Bluetooth settings and rescanning the pairing QR code in the app. The software interface allows fast access to setting targets, creating workouts, and syncing with popular third-party platforms like Strava and TrainingPeaks.
One note on the app in general. This interface is starting to look really dated in comparison to the competitors offerings. The block-style elements require a ton of scrolling and just look like something that COROS probably has updated since the app was first released, if I had to guess. It’s giving early 2000s Java or Adobe Air vibes and that’s not a good thing.
Packing a brilliantly bright AMOLED display, ultra-fast mapping, and multi-week battery life into an astonishingly light 43-gram frame, the COROS PACE 4 Pro delivers flagship-level endurance performance without the bulk.
Performance
Performance on the PACE 4 Pro gets a major boost compared to the standard PACE 4 by doubling the RAM installed. This extra memory powers fast map rendering, allowing users to scroll through topographic maps, street names, and points of interest without delay. Navigation tools include turn by turn guidance, waypoints, and dual-frequency satellite tracking covering GPS, GLONASS, GALILEO, BeiDou, and QZSS systems.
The onboard sensor suite includes a fourth-generation optical heart rate sensor, a barometric altimeter, pulse oximetry, ambient temperature monitoring, and ECG capabilities for HRV health checks. Users can record voice notes during workouts that automatically attach to GPS locations as Voice Pins in the app. Onboard voice controls let you adjust settings or set heart rate alerts using the built in microphone and speaker.

Athletes can track dozens of sports ranging from road cycling and trail running to swimming, rowing, skiing, and triathlon modes. The watch features 32GB of internal storage for music and podcasts, letting you play audio directly to connected Bluetooth headphones. It also supports hands-free phone calls and camera remote control for GoPro, Insta360, and DJI devices.

But how does all that respond in real life? Very well is the answer. I found the HR, sleep data, and presentation to be on par, or better, than most of the competition. COROS has a solid premium option in the PACE 4 Pro that can match anything Garmin, Suunto, or AmazFit is bringing to the table.
I mentioned this in another review recently, but I’ll mirror it here with the PACE 4 Pro: please make notification syncing two-way on the COROS lineup. This is something that COROS seems to be actively taking feedback towards recently with the PACE series, and I’d like to extend this advice here.
Having the notification pile up on the connected device or on the watch, depending on which you’ve previously dismissed it on, is insane. The whole point of having notifications in the first place on a wrist device is to mitigate interactions on two separate units. Having to dismiss them on each device is a step that COROS needs to close.
Battery Life
Battery longevity remains a standout feature for the PACE 4 Pro. Standard GPS tracking provides up to 60 hours of continuous activity recording in High GPS mode, or 45 hours with the Always On display enabled. In everyday smartwatch mode, the battery lasts up to 21 days on a single charge, which drops to 7 days if you keep the screen always on.
Recharging the device takes roughly 1.5 hours under standard room temperatures. Built-in safety mechanisms prevent charging if ambient temperatures drop to 32°F or rise above 113°F to protect battery health. The system also includes auto GPS settings to automatically balance tracking accuracy with battery preservation during long endurance events.
