Pioneer has introduced the VREC-Z410DC, a dual-channel dash cam designed to combine high-resolution road recording with a dedicated emergency communication feature.
The new model records in 3K resolution from its front camera and Full HD from the rear camera, while its built-in “Send Location” button allows drivers to quickly prepare a text message containing their GPS location for a preset emergency contact.
One-Touch Location Sharing for Emergencies
One of the VREC-Z410DC’s standout features is its dedicated “Send Location” button.
When pressed, the dash cam locks and protects the current video footage while the free Pioneer ai-sense app prepares a text message containing the driver’s GPS coordinates. The message can then be sent to a previously configured emergency contact.
The feature works after the dash cam has been paired with a smartphone through Bluetooth and an emergency contact has been configured. Pioneer says there is no subscription fee required for the location-sharing function.
The dash cam can also protect important footage automatically. If an impact occurs before the driver has an opportunity to press the button, its built-in G-sensor detects the collision and automatically locks the relevant recording.
3K Front and Full HD Rear Recording
The VREC-Z410DC uses a 5-megapixel front image sensor to capture 3K video with Wide Dynamic Range (WDR).
Its front camera has a 144-degree viewing angle, providing a broad view of the road ahead. The combination of high-resolution recording and WDR is intended to preserve useful details such as license plates and road signs across changing lighting conditions.
A Full HD rear camera provides continuous recording behind the vehicle, giving drivers coverage from two directions rather than relying solely on a front-facing camera.
