Zero Zero Robotics Takes Flight: New HOVERAir X1 Cameras Capture Adventure From Above

0

Zero Zero Robotics is back with new gadgets, this time launching the HOVERAir X1 PRO and X1 PROMAX flying action cameras on Indiegogo. These cameras are designed for adventurers and content creators who need a reliable way to capture their epic moments from the sky. The campaign is live now, and early backers can score a deal: $399 for the X1 PRO and $599 for the X1 PROMAX, which will later retail for $499 and $699, respectively.

These new models build on the earlier HOVERAir X1 series, offering upgraded cameras and smarter flight tech. The X1 PROMAX features an 8K camera, a wide lens, and dynamic range that makes videos look like they came straight from a professional production. The X1 PRO shoots in 4K, which is still crisp enough to make your social media followers think you hired a camera crew.

Weighing in at just over 190 grams, these cameras are light enough to throw in your bag but tough enough to handle some rough conditions. They’re quick too, with a max speed of 26 mph and the ability to track you at even faster bursts. Flight time is 16 minutes, and they can soar up to 120 meters. Oh, and if you’re a winter sports enthusiast, they won’t quit in cold weather—they can fly in temperatures as low as -4°F.

The X1 PRO and X1 PROMAX are equipped with proximity sensors and extra safety features, so you don’t have to worry too much about them crashing into trees or cliffs. Ready to shoot in just three seconds, they offer plenty of ways to customize your shots, and the companion app helps make sure your videos transfer fast with Wi-Fi 6.

For those who like their gadgets to do more, optional accessories include controllers, extra battery life, and other handy add-ons. If you’re the type who enjoys zipping down snowy mountains or tearing up cycling trails, these could be worth a look.

The key differences between the HOVERAir X1 PRO and the HOVERAir X1 PROMAX flying action cameras are primarily in camera capabilities and safety features:

  1. Camera Quality:
    • X1 PROMAX: Captures video in 8K at 30fps, using a 1/1.3” CMOS sensor with a 7-layer custom lens. It offers 14 stops of dynamic range and a 107-degree field of view, making it ideal for professional-level content creation.
    • X1 PRO: Records in 4K at 60fps, with a slightly narrower 104-degree field of view. Though it offers excellent video quality, it’s a step down from the 8K capabilities of the PROMAX.
  2. Safety Features:
    • X1 PROMAX: Includes an additional computer vision sensor, enhancing safety by improving obstacle detection and collision avoidance.
    • X1 PRO: Features rear-side proximity sensors for active collision detection but lacks the extra computer vision sensor found in the PROMAX.

The X1 PROMAX is designed for users who need higher video quality and extra safety features, while the X1 PRO offers strong performance with slightly fewer bells and whistles.

Zero Zero Robotics is one of the first companies to participate in Indiegogo’s new Shipping Guarantee program. This program ensures backers get what they paid for—or their money back. With Zero Zero’s strong track record, the company feels confident about delivering on time.

Zero Zero Robotics was founded in 2014 by a couple of Stanford PhDs who had a passion for combining AI with drone technology. Since then, the company has been developing intelligent devices that push the limits of what’s possible in aerial photography.

Integrating Digital Labs into the Curriculum

Incorporating digital labs into the school curriculum requires careful planning and support. Initially, training is essential for educators to utilize and incorporate these technologies into their teaching methods. This might include workshops or courses that familiarize them with the lab’s capabilities and best practices for digital instruction.

Furthermore, the curriculum itself may need to be adapted to make the most out of digital labs. For example, lessons can be designed around the lab’s features, using virtual experiments as the basis for discussions, assignments, and assessments. This integration helps ensure that students not only use the labs for occasional projects but consistently benefit from the enhanced learning environment throughout their educational journey.

Conclusion

Digital school science labs represent a monumental shift in educational paradigms, offering a dynamic and safe environment for students to explore the vast realms of science. These labs facilitate a deeper understanding of complex topics through interactive and engaging experiments and equip students with crucial digital literacy skills. As more educational institutions adopt digital tools, integrating digital labs into curricula has become crucial. Digital labs are pioneering educational innovations, seamlessly connecting theoretical knowledge with practical applications in dynamic and innovative ways.
