Viaim has introduced the Rise, a new pair of AI-powered wireless earbuds that puts an unusual amount of intelligence into the charging case. Announced alongside IFA 2026, Rise combines everyday audio features with conversation capture, AI-generated notes, and task routing into productivity and developer tools.
The earbuds are aimed at professionals who spend much of their day moving between meetings, documents, AI assistants, and project tools, including developers, researchers, consultants, and technical product managers.
The Charging Case Has a Job
Rise uses a press-to-rise charging case that physically lifts the earbuds upward when pressed. The mechanism is part design flourish, part functional shortcut.
The case contains three microphones and can record independently from the earbuds, letting users place it on a desk for meeting capture without wearing the buds. Pressing the case can serve as a quick recording trigger, and its raised position is designed to provide a better angle for capturing nearby conversations.
Viaim’s Vitana AI software then processes captured information and can turn conversations into summaries, drafts, briefs, open questions, and task lists.
With user permission, those tasks can be routed into platforms including Google Workspace, Codex, Claude Code, Cursor, and Copilot. Viaim says integration support will vary by region and platform, with the final list expected at launch.
Rise Can Build a Memory Without Saving Audio
One of the more unusual features is an Always-on Listening mode that processes nearby conversations in roughly five-minute segments.
Rather than storing the audio, Rise uses those segments to create structured memory around topics, decisions, and unresolved questions. Users who want an actual recording must start one manually.
The listening feature only operates when the Viaim app is active and stops when the app is closed. Users can schedule it around specific working hours or days.
Viaim’s Space Intelligence feature can then combine meeting notes with documents, web links, and project files inside a shared workspace. Vitana analyzes those materials to identify new information, possible project risks, and suggested next steps.
Premium Earbuds Underneath the AI Features
Rise still has to work as a normal pair of earbuds, and Viaim has given the hardware a fairly serious audio setup.
Each earbud uses an 11mm woofer paired with a 6mm tweeter, with Hi-Res Audio Wireless certification and support for LDAC and LHDC codecs. An 11-microphone system includes a VPU bone-conduction sensor for calls and transcription in noisy settings.
Other connectivity features include Google Fast Pair, Apple MFi support, Apple Find My network compatibility, multi-device setup, and MagSafe magnetic wireless charging.
Viaim says user data is not sold, raw audio is not retained during real-time listening, and information is protected through encrypted transmission and storage. The company operates under ISO/IEC 27001 and ISO/IEC 27701 certifications and maintains SOC 2 Type II attestation. Rise meets EN 18031 cybersecurity requirements for consumer radio equipment.
Pricing and Availability
Viaim Rise launches through Indiegogo on August 31, 2026, with early-backer pricing and reward tiers set to be announced with the campaign. Viaim currently estimates a $399 MSRP for the retail version.
