T-Mobile officially announced the LG myTouch and myTouch Q, two new Android 2.3-powered entry-level smartphones aimed at first-time smartphone buyers. Both featured a 1GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon processor, a 5-megapixel camera with 720p video, a Genius Button for voice commands, and T-Mobile’s HSPA+ 4G network. Built-in tools included a Setup Wizard for quick account integration and a Tips Widget with instructional videos.
The myTouch featured a 3.8-inch touchscreen with a virtual keyboard and Swype, a front-facing camera, and T-Mobile Video Chat via Qik. Available in black or white.
The myTouch Q featured a 3.5-inch touchscreen plus a physical slide-out QWERTY keyboard, but lacked the front-facing camera. Available in gray or violet.
Both were expected in time for the holiday season. No pricing was announced.
