Redmi Note 17 Series Debuts With Massive Batteries and Four New Phones

Xiaomi has announced the global REDMI Note 17 Series, led by a new REDMI Note 17 Pro Max 5G that pairs a 10,000mAh battery with 100W HyperCharge and a stated battery lifespan of up to six years.

The four-phone lineup includes the REDMI Note 17 Pro Max 5G, REDMI Note 17 Pro 5G, REDMI Note 17 5G, and REDMI Note 17. Xiaomi is positioning the family around longer battery life, stronger durability, and extended software support, with a six-year commitment covering battery health, security patches, and sustained system performance.

The launch marks the first Pro Max model in the REDMI Note family, which Xiaomi says has surpassed 500 million shipments across more than 100 markets during its 12-year history.

A 10,000mAh Battery Leads The Lineup

The REDMI Note 17 Pro Max 5G carries the largest battery of the group, using a 10,000mAh Silicon-Carbon Battery that Xiaomi rates for up to three days of use per charge.

Its 100W HyperCharge system can provide what Xiaomi describes as a full day of power from 20 minutes of charging when using Boost Mode. The phone supports up to 27W wired reverse charging, letting that unusually large battery lend some power to other compatible devices.

The REDMI Note 17 Pro 5G drops to an 8,340mAh battery with 67W HyperCharge. Both standard Note 17 models use 7,700mAh batteries with 45W turbo charging.

Xiaomi says its battery management system is designed to maintain battery health for up to six years. The entire REDMI Note 17 Series has received TÜV SÜD certification for long-lasting battery performance.

Pro Models Put Extra Focus On Durability

The REDMI Note 17 Pro Max 5G and Note 17 Pro 5G use what Xiaomi calls its REDMI Titan Structure. Both carry IP66, IP68, IP69, and IP69K dust and water resistance ratings, with Xiaomi citing testing at a depth of two meters for 72 hours.

SGS has certified the Pro models for three-meter drop resistance. Corning Gorilla Glass Victus 2 protects the display, and Wet Touch Technology 2.0 is designed to keep touch controls usable around moisture.

The Pro phones have received TÜV SÜD 5-star Titan Quality Certification covering battery performance, drop resistance, and water resistance.

Big Display And AI Features For The Pro Max

The REDMI Note 17 Pro Max 5G uses a 6.83-inch flat display with 1.5K resolution and up to 3,500 nits of peak brightness.

Xiaomi HyperAI handles the phone’s AI features. Camera tools include portrait photography, dual-video recording, 4K video capture, AI Glare Removal, and AI Erase Pro.

The series gets a redesigned camera module, rounded corners, and a dual-finish rear panel. The Pro Max receives an exclusive Cloud Blush photochromic finish, which gives the phone another visual trick beyond its rather hard-to-ignore battery.

Xiaomi has not provided global pricing or market-specific availability details in the supplied announcement. Those details will determine where the REDMI Note 17 Series lands within the increasingly crowded midrange phone category.
