STIHL has introduced ALLPRO, a new professional battery system built for forestry crews, landscapers, municipal teams, and other users who depend on cordless outdoor power equipment throughout the workday.
The new platform replaces STIHL’s established AP system, though existing customers will not need to start over. ALLPRO batteries remain compatible with current AP tools and chargers, allowing professionals to keep using equipment they already own while adding newer battery options over time.
Tabless Battery Cells Improve Power and Charging
The main technical change is STIHL’s use of tabless battery cells in several ALLPRO models. Traditional cells route electricity through a small internal tab, which can restrict energy flow and create heat during demanding tasks.
Tabless cells distribute energy across a larger surface area. STIHL says this design improves efficiency, reduces heat buildup, increases available power, and cuts charging times. Lower operating temperatures can reduce battery wear, which may help extend service life.
Compared with the previous AP 300.0 S battery, STIHL says the new AP 300.0 P offers 60% higher peak power, 20% longer runtime, faster charging, and up to twice the service life. The company rates it for as many as 3,000 charging cycles.
Those figures could translate into fewer battery changes during large jobs, though real-world performance will depend on the tool, workload, temperature, and charging setup.
Charging Can Reach 80% in Under 10 Minutes
When used with the STIHL AL 1602 MO mobile fast charger, compatible ALLPRO batteries can reach an 80% charge in less than 10 minutes, according to the company.
The charger can operate indoors, at a workshop, or from a vehicle at a job site. Crews working away from traditional electrical outlets can pair the batteries with the STIHL PS 2000 power station.
That setup allows one battery to charge while another remains in service, which may prove useful for teams trying to keep saws, trimmers, and other equipment running through a full shift.

ALLPRO batteries carry an IPX5 rating for protection against water sprayed from multiple directions. They are built for outdoor work, though the rating does not mean they should be submerged.
Four Main Batteries Cover Different Workloads
The ALLPRO range includes several battery capacities and weights:
- AP 100.0 P: Weighs 2 pounds and provides 111Wh, making it suited to handheld equipment such as hedge trimmers and arborist saws.
- AP 200.0 P: Weighs 2.9 pounds and offers 222Wh for general professional use.
- AP 300.0 P: Weighs 4.2 pounds and provides 333Wh for longer runtimes and more demanding equipment.
- AP 300.0 PC: Adds connectivity for use with STIHL’s digital fleet management platform.
STIHL has equipped the batteries with Power Boost, which supplies higher output when a tool needs it, and Constant Power, which is designed to maintain tool performance as the battery level drops.
The company is also offering the AP 20.1 and AP 30.1 as lower-cost choices. These models use standard battery cell technology and are intended for professionals who do not need the fastest charging speeds.
The STIHL ALLPRO battery system is available now through authorized STIHL dealers and the company’s official website.
