Sprint announced the LG Viper 4G LTE at CES as one of the first devices for their upcoming 4G LTE network. Specs included Android 2.3, a 1.2GHz dual-core processor, a 4-inch WVGA NOVA display, a 5-megapixel rear camera, a VGA front-facing camera, NFC with Google Wallet, Mobile Hotspot, microSD support up to 32GB, DLNA, and eco-friendly construction with 35% recycled plastics and a low-power charger. Pricing and availability were to be shared closer to launch.
The Viper was announced alongside the Galaxy Nexus and Sierra Wireless Tri-Network Hotspot as the first three Sprint 4G LTE devices. Sprint’s initial 4G LTE markets were expected to include Atlanta, Dallas, Houston, and San Antonio in the first half of 2012.
