Speck Dives into True Wireless Earbud Market with Gemtones Line at CES 2024

At CES 2024, Speck, known for its tech-enhancing accessories, unveiled its entry into the true wireless earbud sector with its Gemtones line. This new collection, featuring three distinct models – Gemtones Play, Gemtones Sport, and Gemtones Pro – brings together high-quality audio with innovative design, all at an accessible price point.

Gemtones Collection: A Blend of Functionality and Style

The Gemtones earbuds are designed to address common issues faced by audio consumers. One standout feature is their charging cases, which use a mechanical catch instead of the typical magnetic catch. This design choice ensures the earbuds remain securely in the case, even if dropped.

Visible and Secure Design

In a market where most earbuds come with opaque charging cases, Gemtones sets itself apart with a transparent lid. This allows users to quickly check if both earbuds are present. The cases also feature a bright color under the earbud, acting as an indicator when an earbud is missing.

Customizable and User-Friendly App

Complementing the physical design, the free Gemtones app offers unique features like volume control and a lost earbud finder. Users can also customize touch controls for different functionalities like play, pause, skip, and volume.

The Gemtones Line-Up:

  1. Gemtones Play ($49.99): Tailored for everyday use, these earbuds come with four sizes of silicone ear tips and are available in four colors.
  2. Gemtones Sport ($59.99): Designed for active users, these on-ear earbuds feature flexible behind-the-ear loops, perfect for athletic activities without compromising environmental awareness.
  3. Gemtones Pro ($79.99): Catering to professionals, these earbuds boast multi-point Bluetooth, wireless charging, and IPX5 super sweat and water resistance, ideal for extensive phone and computer use.

Availability: Gemtones Play and Gemtones Sport are currently available on www.SpeckProducts.com, and Gemtones Pro will hit the market in February 2024.

About Speck: Since its inception in 2001, Speck has been at the forefront of creating award-winning accessories that enhance the user experience of tech devices. Based in Silicon Valley, Speck continues to transform big ideas into products that “Elevate Your Tech” and enrich daily life.

Speck’s Gemtones line marks their ambitious venture into the highly competitive true wireless earbud market, bringing unique design elements and user-focused features, all while maintaining affordability. With this launch, Speck aims to redefine expectations in the earbud sector, offering solutions that combine practicality with innovation.
