Samsung kicked off 2012 with the Galaxy Ace Plus, an upgrade to the popular Galaxy Ace targeting young professionals. It launched first in Russia in January before rolling out to Europe, Latin America, CIS, Africa, China, and parts of Asia. Pricing and exact carrier details were pending at announcement.
Specs included Android 2.3 Gingerbread with TouchWiz, a 3.65-inch HVGA display, a 1GHz processor, a 5-megapixel camera with LED flash, HSDPA 7.2Mbps, Wi-Fi 802.11, and 2GB shared storage for multimedia with up to 1GB for apps. Features included Samsung ChatON, Social Hub, Music Hub, and ThinkFree Office for document editing. Call management included the ability to reject calls with a text message or add callers to a block list.
