Olight ArkTac Series Brings Flat, Multi-Source Tactical Flashlights to Preorder

Olight ArkTac Series Brings Flat, Multi-Source Tactical Flashlights to Preorder

Olight is bringing its slim flat-flashlight design into the tactical market with the launch of the new ArkTac Series, a line of compact lighting tools designed around rapid access, multiple light sources, and reduced bulk.

The new lineup includes the ArkTac and higher-end ArkTac Ultra, both built around a 17mm unibody design intended to make everyday carry easier while retaining features aimed at law enforcement, security professionals, and outdoor users.

Preorders are now open through Olight, with shipping expected later in 2026.

ArkTac Ultra Packs Five Light Sources

The ArkTac Ultra is the more feature-packed model in the new lineup.

It combines five different light sources and offers 10 lighting configurations. Those include:

  • Pure Flood
  • Spotlight
  • Red Light
  • UV
  • Green Laser
  • Four laser combinations
  • Instant Strobe

The Ultra produces up to 1,800 lumens and has a maximum beam distance of 215 meters, according to Olight.

The flashlight is constructed from OAL², which Olight describes as its strongest aluminum alloy to date.

Despite its collection of light sources, the Ultra maintains the same slim 17mm unibody concept used across the ArkTac family.

Standard ArkTac Offers Four Light Sources

The standard ArkTac takes a slightly simpler approach.

It combines four light sources:

  • Pure Flood
  • Spotlight
  • Red Light
  • UV

It also includes Instant Strobe.

Maximum output is rated at 1,700 lumens, putting the standard model only slightly behind the Ultra in terms of peak brightness.

The main distinction is the reduced number of light sources and the absence of the Ultra’s green laser functionality.

Designed for Rapid Tactical Access

Olight has designed the ArkTac controls around situations where users may need to activate a specific lighting mode quickly.

Both models feature a two-stage tail switch. The control can immediately activate either Turbo Spotlight or Pure Flood without requiring the user to cycle through multiple modes.

The ArkTac Ultra adds another option, allowing the tail switch to combine the Spotlight with the Green Laser.

There’s also a dedicated CommandPoint shortcut.

The shortcut activates Strobe with a single press by default, but users can configure it for Red Light or UV. On the Ultra, Green Laser can also be assigned to the shortcut.

The result is a control system intended to reduce the number of button presses required to reach commonly used functions.

A Slimmer Approach to Tactical Carry

One of the defining characteristics of the ArkTac lineup is its flat form factor.

Both models use a 17mm unibody design, which Olight says is intended to reduce bulk during all-day carry.

That approach follows the broader trend toward thinner everyday-carry lighting products that can be worn or carried without the cylindrical profile associated with many traditional tactical flashlights.

The design could be particularly useful for users who already carry other equipment and want to minimize additional bulk.

Magnetic Carrying System

Olight includes its ArkSnap magnetic holster with the ArkTac series.

The holster is designed to secure the flashlight to belts, duty equipment, and MOLLE-compatible systems.

A magnetic carrying system also provides an alternative to traditional rigid flashlight holsters, potentially making it quicker to attach or remove the light when needed.

Pricing and Availability

Preorders for the Olight ArkTac series are now open through Olight, with shipping expected later in 2026.

The U.S. pricing provided by Olight is:

  • ArkTac: $119.99
  • ArkTac Ultra: $159.99
  • ArkTac Ultra Premium: $199.99

The Ultra Premium package adds dual quick-draw holsters, a mount, a Field Boost energy block, and PowerLink accessories.
