Nothing Launches Ear (open) Earbuds Featuring Open Sound Technology and AI Integration

Nothing has launched Ear (open), the company’s inaugural open wearable stereo (OWS) earbuds. Designed to deliver high-quality sound while keeping users connected to their environment, Ear (open) offers a balanced audio experience suitable for various settings.

Ear (open) incorporates Nothing’s Open Sound Technology, enabling listeners to enjoy their favorite audio content without missing the ambient sounds around them. This feature is ideal for those who want to stay aware of their surroundings, whether walking through a bustling city or relaxing in a quiet park.

The earbuds boast advanced sound performance thanks to a custom patent-pending diaphragm, a titanium-coated driver, and a stepped design. These elements work together to minimize distortion, enhance low frequencies, and produce clear high notes. Additionally, the automatic Bass Enhance algorithm fine-tunes the bass levels, providing a richer and more dynamic listening experience.

Battery life is another strong point for Ear (open). A single charge offers up to eight hours of playback, and the charging case extends this to thirty hours. For quick listening sessions, a ten-minute charge delivers two hours of use, ensuring that the earbuds are ready whenever needed.

Clear Voice Technology is built into Ear (open), utilizing AI-enhanced processing trained on 28 million noise scenarios. This ensures that calls remain clear and intelligible, even in noisy environments.

Continuing its commitment to smart technology, Ear (open) integrates ChatGPT through the Nothing X app. This allows users to access real-time information hands-free using simple voice commands, making it easier to stay informed while on the move.

Ear (open) is available for pre-order now on nothing.tech, priced at $149, £129, and €149. The earbuds will be available for purchase worldwide starting October 1. Additionally, on September 28, Ear (open) will be available for in-person purchase exclusively at the Nothing Store Soho. This limited event operates on a first-come, first-served basis, offering enthusiasts the opportunity to experience the earbuds firsthand.
