Chrome is looking out to utilize AI in new ways this year. Therefore, the browser will present three new generative AI features that users will love. According to a release by Parisa Tabriz, Vice President, Chrome, the team is introducing experimental generative AI features to make it easy for users to browse.

AI experimental features are meant to organize tabs, create custom themes, and make writing on the web a better experience.

Why these AI features are important

Over the years, Chrome has been introducing latest machine learning and AI technologies. these releases help users to search the web in an easier, safer, and more accessible manner. Chrome improved, making everyday tasks become easier.

As such, tasks like adding real-time captions to videos, how to better detect malicious sites, or manage permission prompts become easier. Now, it’s easier for browsers to generate the key points of a webpage, which is an advantage.

However, the new Chrome (M121) is out not just introducing experimental generative AI features, but helping users to personalize their experiences. Instantly, it’s possible to explore these new features in a couple of days.

Chrome users in the United States of America will get the update first. Head over to your Macs or Windows PC. All you need do is follow the instructions below.

  • Sign in to Chrome.
  • From the three dots menu at the top right of the screen, select “Settings”.
  • Navigate to the “Experimental AI” page.

Chrome has revealed that these features are for experimental purposes for now. They will be disabled for enterprise and educational accounts at this moment.

What you can do with the M121 new features

Smartly organize tabs: Users can make use of tab groups to manage lots of tabs in a way that’s never been possible. Furthermore, Chrome will automatically suggest and create tabs based on current use. It’s now easier to work on several tasks at once.

Create themes with AI: This is another interesting part for users. Chrome M121 is bringing the generative AI wallpapers released with Android 14 last year into new use. Therefore, the same text-to-image diffusion model will help users to personalize their browsers more. Consequently, you can create custom themes based on current mood, subject, or even visual style.

Write better on the web: Writing online has never been that easy, as many users often confess it’s a daunting task. Nevertheless, Chrome is now making it easier for forum or blog commenters to revel their thoughts with confidence on the web. Are you interested in writing reviews? Do just want to make a formal request about apartment rental? These and more writing tasks will be made easy online.
