Motorola has announced two new additions to its North American lineup: the motorola edge (2026) smartphone and the moto buds 2 wireless earbuds. Positioned as complementary devices, the pair focuses on portability, photography, battery life, and entertainment, with both products arriving this summer.
A Slim Design Built for Everyday Use
The motorola edge (2026) arrives with a compact, lightweight design that Motorola says is intended for users who want a phone that’s easy to carry without sacrificing premium touches. The device launches in a PANTONE Martini Olive finish with a textured twill-inspired rear panel that gives it a distinctive look compared to the sea of black rectangles currently roaming pockets everywhere.
Durability appears to be a major focus as well. The phone carries IP68 and IP69 ratings for protection against water, dust, dirt, and sand, alongside MIL-STD-810H certification and Corning Gorilla Glass 7i protection.

Triple 50MP Cameras and AI-Powered Photography
Photography duties are handled by a Sony LYTIA 710-powered camera system that includes a 50MP main camera, a 50MP ultrawide camera with Macro Vision capabilities, and a dedicated 10MP telephoto lens with 3x optical zoom and up to 30x Super Zoom. A 50MP front-facing camera rounds out the package.
Motorola is leaning heavily into AI-assisted imaging. Features such as the Photo Enhancement Engine, Action Shot, Adaptive Stabilization, and the new Frame Match tool are designed to simplify the process of capturing better photos and videos without requiring manual adjustments. The main camera supports 4K video recording, and optical image stabilization is included across key shooting modes.
Bright Display and MediaTek Performance
The device features a 6.3-inch Extreme AMOLED display with Super HD resolution, a 120Hz refresh rate, and peak brightness of up to 5,200 nits. Motorola says the display delivers 13% more resolution than standard Full HD panels and up to 15% greater brightness than the previous generation.

Under the hood, the motorola edge (2026) runs on the MediaTek Dimensity 7450 processor. The phone includes up to 8GB of LPDDR5X memory and 128GB of storage. Motorola is continuing its AI strategy by giving users access to moto ai alongside support for Google Gemini and Perplexity.
Fast Charging and Long Battery Life
Battery life remains a key selling point. Motorola says the 5,000mAh battery can deliver up to two days of use on a charge. When it’s time to recharge, 60W TurboPower wired charging can provide enough power for a day of use in as little as seven minutes. The phone also supports 15W wireless charging.
moto buds 2 Expand Motorola’s Audio Lineup
Joining the new smartphone are the moto buds 2, a set of wireless earbuds equipped with dual drivers, Hi-Res Audio support, Dolby Atmos spatial audio, and active noise cancellation rated up to 55dB. Motorola says the earbuds can deliver up to 11 hours of listening time on a single charge and up to 48 hours when paired with the included charging case.

The earbuds support Bluetooth 6.0, dual-device connectivity, gaming mode, transparency mode, and six microphones for calls. Owners of compatible Motorola devices can even access select moto ai features directly from the earbuds.
