Marshall Launches Next-Gen Acton IV and Stanmore IV Speakers with Auracast Technology

Global audio pioneer Marshall Group has officially expanded its premium home audio portfolio with the debut of its fourth-generation home speaker lineup, introducing the Acton IV and Stanmore IV. The newly unveiled models combine the brand’s signature vintage aesthetic with substantial acoustic re-engineering and cutting-edge wireless connectivity, including integrated Auracast technology.

Engineered for an Expansive Acoustic Performance

The fourth-generation lineup introduces significant internal hardware upgrades designed to deliver a broader, more immersive listening experience. Both the Acton IV and Stanmore IV feature re-architected tweeters and advanced waveguides, resulting in a significantly widened soundstage and superior stereo separation. This architectural shift ensures more precise spatial positioning of instruments, offering listeners enhanced depth and realism.

Marshall’s engineering team also addressed physical placement and low-frequency performance. The speakers feature a redesigned, highly aerodynamic bass port that optimizes airflow to produce tighter, more powerful bass representation even at elevated volumes. Additionally, the integration of bottom-routed cabling allows users to position the units completely flush against walls without compromising acoustic output.

To maintain acoustic fidelity across all playback levels, Marshall has introduced Dynamic Loudness technology. This system automatically adjusts high and low frequencies in real time, ensuring that low-volume playback retains warmth and clarity, while advanced limiters engage at higher volumes to mitigate distortion.

Timeless Design Meets Modern Control

While host to modern internal upgrades, the Acton IV and Stanmore IV retain the distinct rock-and-roll heritage that defines the Marshall brand. The enclosures are wrapped in signature textured PU leather, accented by the traditional salt-and-pepper front grille and metallic script logo.

However, the top-mounted brass control panel has received functional updates. Alongside tactile analog knobs for volume, bass, and treble adjustments, the interface now includes an enhanced media jog control and a redesigned power switch. A standout addition to the physical layout is a customizable M-button, which users can program via the companion Marshall App to instantly launch preferred EQ profiles or activate Spotify Tap.

“Since first launching in 2012, Marshall’s home speakers have evolved while remaining true to our heritage,” said Simona Berbec, Product Manager at Marshall Group. “With our fourth generation, the focus has been on protecting and strengthening these core qualities, building on what people love rather than reinventing it.”

Seamless Connectivity and Multi-Speaker Syncing

Beyond standard Bluetooth streaming, the new generation heavily emphasizes analog and multi-room versatility. For vinyl enthusiasts and traditional media users, the speakers feature integrated RCA and 3.5 mm AUX inputs, allowing seamless integration with turntables and external media players.

For multi-room setups, the built-in Auracast technology enables synchronized audio broadcasting across multiple generation-four units simultaneously. To support backward compatibility, Marshall has also introduced Heddon, a dedicated streaming hub. The Heddon hub allows older Acton III and Stanmore III models to integrate into the new synchronized ecosystem via a one-time configuration in the Marshall app.

Eco-Conscious Construction and Availability

In alignment with modern sustainability standards, the internal structure of both models utilizes MDF cabinets crafted entirely from FSC 100%-certified wood. Furthermore, Marshall has embraced a circular design philosophy, building the speakers with fully replaceable components—including the feet, control knobs, and front grilles—to extend product longevity.
