JMGO IRIS Series Brings 4K at 120Hz and Up to 6,500 Lumens to IFA 2026

JMGO is bringing its new IRIS Series smart projectors to global markets, pairing 4K resolution at 120Hz with high brightness, laser projection, and hardware aimed at gaming, sports, and home theater use.

The lineup consists of the flagship JMGO IRIS Ultra Max and the JMGO IRIS Ultra. JMGO describes the pair as the world’s first 4K@120Hz smart projector series, with the Ultra Max reaching up to 6,500 ISO lumens and a 10,000:1 native contrast ratio.

JMGO introduced its 4K@120Hz projector technology in China in May, where the company says it sold more than 5,000 units within three months. The IRIS Series brings that platform to a wider audience following its global debut at IFA 2026.

4K at 120Hz Targets Gamers and Sports Fans

Both IRIS projectors support true 4K@120Hz from input through output. JMGO uses a dual-DLPC architecture paired with its HyperPulse Actuator, which shifts 480 times per second to retain 4K detail at the higher refresh rate.

Gaming support includes VRR and ALLM, with gameplay at up to 120fps. JMGO says the series is the first to support Dolby Vision at 4K@120Hz, giving compatible games another option for pairing high refresh rates with HDR picture quality.

Movie and sports viewing get 4K@120Hz MEMC motion processing to smooth camera movement and fast action. Hardware-level Anti-RBE technology is designed to reduce the rainbow artifacts sometimes associated with projector systems without adding operating noise.

Ultra Max Pushes Brightness and Contrast Higher

Both models use JMGO’s MALC 6.0 triple-laser engine, but the Ultra Max carries the beefier numbers.

Iris Ultra Max

The IRIS Ultra Max is rated for 6,500 ISO lumens and 10,000:1 native contrast, compared with 4,500 ISO lumens and 7,000:1 contrast for the IRIS Ultra. Both cover 110% of the BT.2020 color gamut, with JMGO claiming approximately ΔE 0.7 color accuracy.

A Dual-Iris system uses a 15-blade 6+9 configuration and offers six adjustment levels for adapting brightness and contrast to different rooms and content. JMGO’s AI DBL processing adjusts individual areas within each frame, with the stated goal of retaining shadow detail without making skin tones look unnatural.

Flexible Placement Could Make Setup Easier

The IRIS Ultra Max combines a 0.88-1.7:1 optical zoom, four-way lens shift, and a motorized AI-powered gimbal capable of 360-degree panning and 150 degrees of tilt.

AI Screen Fitting can automatically size the projected image to a screen. AI Spatial Image Memory can save projection positions and associated apps for different walls, which could be handy for anyone who moves the projector between rooms instead of giving it permanent couch-facing duties.

The IRIS Ultra retains the optical zoom and four-way lens shift, though the release does not list the same gimbal system for that model.

Preorders Begin September 4

JMGO IRIS Series preorders begin September 4, 2026, with early-bird pricing plus model-specific accessory and screen offers. The company has not provided exact pricing in the release. Preorders are scheduled to begin shipping October 19.
