Hisense Redefines Home Entertainment with the 116-Inch TriChroma LED TV

At CES 2025, Hisense unveiled the 116-inch TriChroma LED TV (116UX), the first consumer television to feature RGB Local Dimming Technology. This breakthrough innovation transforms the MiniLED experience by offering unmatched color precision, vibrancy, and brightness. By directly generating pure red, green, and blue light at the source, the TriChroma LED TV sets a new benchmark for big-screen displays, leading MiniLED technology into an exciting new era.

RGB Local Dimming Technology: A Game-Changer in Display Innovation

Traditional LED systems rely on white or blue backlights filtered through a quantum dot layer to create color. Hisense’s RGB Local Dimming Technology takes a bold step forward by introducing independent red, green, and blue LEDs. This eliminates the need for color filtering, achieving superior color reproduction with richer reds, deeper greens, and more vibrant blues. Covering an industry-leading 97% of the BT.2020 color space, this TV offers the widest color gamut ever achieved in a MiniLED display.

The technology’s precision is powered by tens of thousands of optical lenses, each containing clusters of red, green, and blue LEDs. These lenses enable multi-level dimming at both the LED and cluster levels, ensuring accurate brightness and color adjustments. The result is lifelike visuals with breathtaking gradients, stunning contrast, and remarkable realism across all content types.

This system also reduces power consumption by only illuminating the necessary LEDs, enhancing energy efficiency. A 38% reduction in harmful blue light emissions ensures a safer, more comfortable viewing experience for extended use without sacrificing brightness or clarity.

Hi-View AI Engine X: The Power Behind the Picture

The 116-inch TriChroma LED TV is driven by Hisense’s Hi-View AI Engine X, a state-of-the-art processor that optimizes every frame in real-time. AI-driven features like AI Peak Brightness, AI RGB Local Dimming, and AI Banding Smoother dynamically analyze and fine-tune color, brightness, and contrast to create visuals with extraordinary depth and precision. With a peak brightness of up to 10,000 nits, the display delivers vibrant highlights and deep shadows that bring every scene to life.

Compatibility with Dolby Vision, Dolby Vision IQ, and IMAX Enhanced ensures that the TV delivers cinematic-quality visuals for content enthusiasts. Whether you’re watching the latest blockbuster or streaming a classic, the 116UX guarantees a viewing experience that feels vivid and immersive.

Immersive Audio and Modern Design

Complementing the stunning visuals is a 6.2.2 multi-channel surround sound system integrated with Dolby Atmos and DTS Virtual:X technologies. The system creates multidimensional audio that fills the room, enhancing everything from the subtleties of a dramatic score to the intensity of a stadium roar. AI Sound Optimization tailors the audio to match the content, ensuring crisp dialogue and dynamic soundscapes.

The TriChroma LED TV is designed for modern living spaces, featuring an ultra-low glare panel and superior low-reflection technology for distraction-free viewing, even in bright environments. Its ultra-wide viewing angle maintains consistent clarity and color from every seat in the room. Despite its impressive size, the TV measures less than 40mm in thickness, blending sleek aesthetics with cutting-edge performance.

With Google TV built in, the TriChroma LED TV provides access to over 400,000 movies and shows across 10,000+ apps. Advanced connectivity options, including HDMI eARC, Wi-Fi 6E, and compatibility with Amazon Alexa, Google Assistant, and Apple HomeKit, make it an ideal choice for any smart home.

A Vision for the Future of MiniLED

The 116-inch TriChroma LED TV not only redefines MiniLED displays but also paves the way for future innovations in display technology. By bridging the gap between today’s MiniLED advancements and the possibilities of MicroLED, Hisense demonstrates its commitment to pushing the boundaries of home entertainment.

With unparalleled precision, efficiency, and performance, the 116-inch TriChroma LED TV sets a bold new standard for immersive viewing experiences, offering consumers a glimpse into the future of display innovation.
