Hisense Launches New 50-Inch CanvasTV

Hisense, a global pioneer in consumer electronics and home appliances, has officially announced the expansion of its art-inspired television category with the debut of a 50-inch CanvasTV. This new size joins the existing 55, 65, 75, and 85-inch models, offering a versatile solution for smaller living environments, including offices, kitchens, and boutique apartments.

Designed to bridge the gap between high-end home entertainment and interior design, the CanvasTV serves a dual purpose: a high-performance 4K display when active and a curated digital art gallery when idle.

Redefining the Intersection of Art and Technology

The 50-inch CanvasTV is engineered with a focus on aesthetic integration. Featuring a zero-gap wall mount, the display sits flush against the surface, mimicking the profile of a traditional framed masterpiece. The minimalist design ensures that the hardware disappears into the room’s decor, leaving only the visual content as the focal point.

To maintain the illusion of physical media, the unit utilizes a specialized anti-glare matte display. This technology significantly reduces reflections from windows or ambient lighting, ensuring that digital brushstrokes and textures remain visible and lifelike regardless of the time of day.

Personalized Curation and Smart Integration

The device offers an expansive library of over 1,000 curated artworks spanning various eras and movements. Users also have the autonomy to upload personal photography, transforming the screen into a revolving digital memoir.

Powered by the Google TV ecosystem, the CanvasTV provides sophisticated smart functionality, including:

  • Access to over 700,000 films and episodes across 10,000+ applications.
  • More than 800 free live TV channels.
  • Seamless compatibility with Apple HomeKit, Amazon Alexa, and Google Assistant for comprehensive smart home control.

A Commitment to Aesthetic Innovation

“Our goal with the CanvasTV series has always been to harmonize the centerpiece of the living room with the personal style of the homeowner,” said David Gold, President of Hisense Americas.

“By introducing the 50-inch model, we are responding to the demand for a more adaptable size that brings the same premium gallery experience and anti-glare performance to more intimate spaces without sacrificing the technological excellence Hisense is known for.”

Pricing and Market Availability

The 50-inch Hisense CanvasTV is now available for purchase through major retailers, including Amazon and Best Buy, within the United States. The model enters the market with a Manufacturer’s Suggested Retail Price (MSRP) of $1,299.99.
