GUNNAR Marks 30 Years of Tomb Raider with Croft Gaming Glasses

Sun

GUNNAR Optiks has introduced the Tomb Raider Croft Glasses, an officially licensed eyewear collection created with Crystal Dynamics to mark the franchise’s 30th anniversary.

Inspired by Lara Croft and the field gear associated with her globe-spanning adventures, the Croft Glasses pair a rounded frame shape with bronze-toned detailing and a stainless-steel build. The result leans into Tomb Raider history without looking like costume eyewear, making the frame suitable for gaming sessions, office work, streaming, and everyday wear.

The design uses textured detailing around the eye wire, engineered polymer accents, and flexible spring hinges intended to provide a more comfortable fit. GUNNAR lists the frame as a medium width, with a 134 mm overall frame width, 50 mm lenses, a 22 mm bridge, and 145 mm temples. The glasses weigh 28 grams without packaging.

Four Lens Options for Screens and Sunlight

A variety of stylish sunglasses displayed on a textured surface, featuring round frames with different colored lenses including purple, orange, and blue.

At the center of the Croft Glasses is GUNNAR’s patented blue-light filtering lens technology, which is designed to reduce digital eye strain, improve contrast, and support visual comfort during long periods in front of a display.

Buyers can choose from four lens tints: Amber, Amber Max, Sun, and Amber Sun Shift. Amber and Amber Max are aimed at screen-heavy use, with Amber Max offering the stronger tint. Sun is intended for outdoor wear, and Amber Sun Shift adapts the concept for users moving between indoor and outdoor environments.

Each version includes G-Shield Plus coating for reduced reflections and improved resistance to smudges. The lenses provide blue-light filtering and 100% UV protection, covering both monitor duty and sunnier expeditions. Raiding ancient ruins remains optional.

Pricing is set at $99 for the Amber, Amber Max, and Sun models. The Amber Sun Shift edition carries a $135 MSRP.

Collector Extras Draw from Tomb Raider History

GUNNAR is positioning the Croft Glasses as both functional eyewear and a commemorative item for longtime Tomb Raider fans. Every pair comes with a limited-edition Dagger of Xian collector’s pin, referencing the artifact at the center of Tomb Raider II.

The package includes a microfiber cleaning cloth decorated with anniversary graphics and Croft iconography, a microfiber storage pouch, and a rugged collector’s glasses case. The presentation gives the release more shelf appeal than a standard pair of computer glasses, particularly for collectors who have followed Lara Croft across multiple console generations.

The frame’s warm metallic finish and compact round shape borrow from classic adventure styling without covering the temples in oversized logos. Branding remains present, though the design does not require a grappling hook and two sidearms to pull it off.

Pricing and Availability

The GUNNAR Tomb Raider Croft Glasses are available now with the standard lens versions priced at $99 and the Amber Sun Shift model priced at $135.
